Read ten books on the subject with your child and discuss what you learn together. It reminds us as adults to remain curious and accurate in a vast area of human knowledge. Stay curious. Keep exploring ideas and what words mean in context to era, ages and nitches. It's only a thought and thoughts can change

Remember sometimes when these kids go to school that was there safe environment not all homes are safe for some of these kids unfortunately not all of us know what's going on in the homes of these kids that feel insecure and endanger

I’m a 10th grader we have no textbooks because the textbooks used last year are no longer allowed to be used. My Math and History class have no textbooks and no date when we can get textbooks. My freinds World history AP class is having the students buy the textbooks because the state wont allow the school to buy the textbook needed.

I’m a NYS teacher. How hard is it for every parent to look at what their own child is bringing home in their book bag? Or on Google Classroom? It’s all right there! There’s nothing “hidden.” Teachers have been begging parents to be more involved since forever. What more do these parents want?

Unrealistic. How many kids actually go to their parents for serious topics because they are ashamed or can't bring it up? Add to it that they're in Florida where Republican ideology is stronger than a parents love for their child. Their best chances now is that hopefully they have a friend they can open up to and technology is a wonderful resource in this day and age.

As someone who was abused in home school I hope parents that support these bills are expressly prevented from home schooling their children. Online schools have no resources and no interest in helping students trapped with abusive parents. Online schools just want to do the bare minimum to keep getting attendance funding.

30 years a teacher in California. We're not crumbling here. Nothing's perfect but we have communication and respect from almost all of our parents. When you have leadership in your state that encourages misinformation and disparages teachers the result is predictable.

Schools can have all the rules they feel like putting in effect but when kids go home, parents teach whatever they feel like to their kids. If kids want to know about black history month...order the books and teach at home. Education starts from home and no one can take that side away...no politicians, no laws and no restrictions. Home is Home and its your freedom to educate what you want. My kids learn in school what the government wants them only to know,but I teach at home the truth.

Unfortunately, there sure is a mental health problem in this country and it's because politics and money comes before citizens needs and lives. There are programs that are non existent but yet they get fundings, pretty sure that's corruption and kids are not getting the resources they need in public schools because politicians are moving it around to end up in their possession without evidence. That's what corrupted government and politics do in countries that are based on greed.

Not the teen, not the young adult the CHILDRENS There is one shelf up front with books specifically for infant and toddler aged children and it has "The feminist Baby" and "The anti racist baby"

What does the material that the law applies to have to do with algebra? CRT and gender theory has nothing to do with algebra and has no place in that class and that teacher needs to mind his own business and focus on the subject he was hired to teach. You probably don't even have kids. And asinine ignorant comments like that are exactly why I'm leaving teaching. The little respect and faith that this profession once had is long gone now. We went from being heroes in the pandemic to "indoctrinating" kids with no basis in reality. #getready #teachersdeserverespect #teacherexodus
