I've always had the idea that rec room should totally make their league something like sport games where there's commentators, cameramans, etc etc

I really do hope that rec room goes in this direction. The idea of constantly being exited for the next RRO update would way more fun than 1 game per year that's never updated again. While community made rooms are cool, I don't think it's its the type of game they should be going for. Rec room feels like it has the potential to become such a great game. The social aspect vrchat, while also having the creativity of roblox, while ALSO being a original, competitive and replay able game like fortnite. I might even say that rec room has the potential to be one of the best games there is, and as you're point stands mav, they just need to think like the big guys

I agree with everything. I used to make videos and play the game for fun but ended up quitting because of the lack of updates and it got boring fast.

I really love the statement on the competitive scene and battle pass recommendations! There’s such a huge opportunity there! Like I’d spend real money on pvp battlepasses. Like I JUST started playing fortnite what, like a few months ago? And I got the fortnite crew right off the bat. I was immediately engulfed in the difficulty and competitiveness and TEAMWORK! I love my fortnite squad because it’s always something new to learn from them or practice together (where as I feel leagues in rec room are more of a hang out and picking the best players and hoping it works.) And another thing about fortnite is you can go into custom game mode lobbies and actually run into active lobbies. Like the pit or red vs blue… I love the leagues and I’m passionate about the competitive side. Something I’ve been advocating for is a closer relationship with rec room for the leagues. Like there people who have managed these leagues since day 1 and as cool as a gold ref shirt is, that’s all they get. And there’s A LOT of work and sacrifices that go into it. And I’ve seen some really amazing leagues lose great management due to lack of support at the minimum or even compensation or recognition. (Speaking of recognition, how cool would a PVP end of year ceremony be to showcase MVPs and winning teams!) And I don’t mean money, but like tokens or new skins. There are a lot of leagues that after 3 seasons, people rotate management out which can be good but also depending on the judgement, could be bad. Rec room provides a liaison but I’ve only ever seen them step in on calls regarding GAME PLAY and it really seemed they were out of touch with leveling or making a valid judgement call (or the player they were talking to was really manipulating the situation behind the scenes.) I’ve been passionate about wanting the leagues to be a fun, safe, competitive space. But I don’t think it’s close to that yet due to the lack of Rec Room support or knowledge from Rec Room staff as to how they operate. I think even allowing league earned tokens to be cashed out would BOOST that scene a lot!!! There’s ways rec room can profit from these things and also grow the community. Literally adding battle passes or even an earned badge for their bio (for example: 50 hits in a game could be a badge. You would achieve this by getting 50 hits in a public paintball game.) and adding a battle pass where even if it’s one item a month or every “x” months where they achieve goals to get it. It could literally be the same item but recolored to show how far you got in it. (Fortnite uses this by using a skin but changing the pattern on the clothing to show how far you got in the battlepass.) RecRoom could achieve this by having a skin for weapons or clothing that have maybe a “yellow, green, blue.” Where the item is colored so the player can represent how far they achieved in that. I could pitch tons of ideas. I just hope they take a piece of this to encourage more pvp engagement.

Beautifully said Mav! RecRoom definitely has the potential, and that's why the dedicated daily players tend to...complain about RR the most. 😅 We want RR to be able to rub elbows with the big names in gaming!

I feel like if we added Bronze and Silver gold skins they would be more rare then the actual gold skin, and it would be weird to make all of the weapons swapped, because people are spending awhile to memorize all of the spawns. I feel like if RR were to do this they should make a seperate pb/laser tag, that would be better for the competitive players who do spend time memorizing everything, while also helping new players out when it comes to memorizing weapons. But almost everything else I agree with

After I began to play Fortnite again I started to notice things that Rec Room is definitely missing, why the game is so successful while Rec Room is just losing more active players. They definitely have to fix and change bunch of things and should be listening more to the community.

Bro we need new rec room weapons in general 😭 Also I agree with the leveling system stuff bc when I was under lvl 50 I was always grinding for hours just to hit lvl 50. And I was always hooked trying to get that one goal. But ever since I hit it I've just been playing community maps which have either sonic hangout or simulators 😭💀. So I'm kinda bored of it. We also need more ways to customize characters so we can express ourselves more. Like maybe UGC!!! I think custom hair and accessories like roblox would be cool. Bc I don't wanna keep rocking that punk or middle part hairstyle. I want smth similar to a messy wavy type hair like irl. And same with accessories. I've kinda been thinking, what if I can wear a hoodie in rec room, but also put my hood on over my head. That would look kinda good right? It's just these little things that rec room is forgetting bc they're focusing on bigger things that most ppl aren't interested in 😮‍💨. If only I could work there 😂.

I completely agree about the competitive side of Rec room, they don’t promote it enough hardly at all. It would actually be cool if they promoted the championship games for d1 and d2 for the leagues, that helps the leagues grow and gets more people inspired to practice to get better at that certain league. Honestly the only reason I started captaining in leagues is because I saw your videos, i probably would not have known about leagues if it weren’t for you they really need to do a better job of promoting leagues. Turning away form the league side of things if they stopped working on stuff like full body avatars they could actually work on improving their game. I kind of agree and disagree for most of the stuff MAV said it just kind of sounded like he wanted Rec Room to make every individual RRO like Fortnite which would take a lot of work and then it could end up being super overwhelming for newcomers, but I also think that they could still make the game fresh with plenty new updates not just to their rooms and item but also to games and their gameplay that way the rooms are more enjoyable to come back to and see.

As cool as it may seem with having the various position colored skins, I don't see the point with the team name because the various times I was in the rec royal league, the teams always changed.

You know one thing I really really want rec room to do is update make it to midnight. Like it’s literally broken 7 MILLION room visits. And they still haven’t updated it bruh. Edit: By update I mean add new content

People need to realize RR wants to be not too similar to Fortnite bc then players would just play original fortnite. And managing an entire community along with making RROs is HARD. With just a tiny team, it will take them some time. Too much pressure can make the game quit and shut down.

Your speaking facts. and if im being honest i never knew there were real paintball turnemnts in rec room. The promoting of recroom is also rather weak. In games like rec royal solo and and rec rally is never people playing so you have to invite people but they dont even enjoy the games. Make the game more intresting and promote rec room a bit more might be a step in the directon
