Genghis Khan paired brutality and intimidation with charisma and innovation. That combo carried him from a traumatic childhood to the helm of the world’s most powerful empire.
In this episode of Perspectives, two medieval historians and a military expert discuss Genghis Khan’s origins, his fighting forces, and the women who ran his empire.

@@genghisgalahad8465 great comeback but you’re clearly misunderstanding his statement…it’s spelled Chinngis khan. Ghenghis khan is the name the English and other called him by. It’s been mistranslated over time. Also not a great name to claim being you’re namesake considering the rape and mass murder perpetrated by Mongols. Even so i do too respect him and his lineage alongside the fascinating history of the khans. If you watch the video kinda explains the whole deal. Also 1 in the very 200 people are related to him and another percentage can actually claim direct descent from his lineage.

The Mongolian words explained here sound the same as words used in Thai language but don't have the same meaning. Perhaps there is an ancient origin relationship
