I think the other kids are just as smart but interested in different things. Sheldon love science and math. Georgie love practical things. He probably has a high mechanical intelligence and practical. My uncle Bill was just like that he was a mechanical genius. Missy has a very high emotional intelligence.

@@PatDK Well, we don't know how the writers intend to play it out. The actors themselves are hoping for one of those divorced/remarried type situations. There's enough ambiguity from TBBT to allow for various options. We just know that he went through two divorces. Nothing says he couldn't have remarried his first wife. 🤷♂️

I have not been keeping up, but I remember an episode of TBBT where Sheldon talks about his father working in a gas station and stealing from the till. At the time, Young Sheldon was probably not considered, so some of things might have been just skipped.

@@robertpearce8394 No, there are plenty of off the cuff remarks Sheldon made that were never portrayed. It can and has been written off by fans as unimportant (which is reasonable in many cases) or in some cases Sheldon either misinterpreting his memories (which Young Sheldon used to retcon his father cheating) or even potentially making up or exaggerating stories, which we've seen adult Sheldon do, sometimes just to make himself look better. Or there is the potential that a story isn't necessarily in the timeline of Sheldon's life that we think. The story about George and the till could potentially be before Sheldon was born, well before George became a respected (sometimes) football coach. I won't say the continuity is perfect, but it's not bad.

I understand Sheldon is ending after this season for continuity reasons, but it is the best sitcom on TV, and the Mandy/Georgie storyline made this sitcom beautiful and charming.

Even though Georgie and Mandy will break up eventually, they must have been on good terms considering how Georgie opened up his own tire shop and business. My only curiosity is if Georgie still got to be part of his daughter with Mandy, Cece’s life and provide any support for her after he and Mandy broke up. We know that Georgie was married twice and they never worked out but it was never mentioned that he had children which was obviously for the plot twist in Young Sheldon.

Mandy is kind of a hot mess (due in large part to her mother). She most likely never went to any kind of therapy or counseling to address what causes her to create chaos in her life. Not hard to imagine that at some point she comes out with "I can't do this anymore" and bails on her marriage to Georgie, precisely because he IS a source of stability, and she can't cope with that.

Is it possible YS turns out differently than TBBT? Georgie in TBBT says Sheldon went off to college after George died but in YS he’s already in college and George is still alive. I mean they did change things so that George never actually cheated on Mary but just made Sheldon believe that was the case due to not knowing the woman was his mom in a cosplay.

I’m not sure what could have happened, re the divorce. Georgie seemed like a real gift. Great with the baby, Mandy’s Dad and Georgie seemed to get along [most father in-laws would not have that feeling], seemed very attentive of Mandy…Unless Georgie started to take more of an interest in his tire job and less of the wife?

Mandy's Dad sees Georgie as the son he never had, was proud that Georgie, at 17, stood up like a man to be an excellent, supportive father, persisted until Mandy fell in love with his maturing self and agreed to marry him. Who wouldn't LOVE a son in law like that, EVEN if they later divorced?

Easy plot hole fix would be to say that Georgie and Mandy did get divorced at a young age. But that was what drove Georgie to go into business for himself and strike it rich. And being divorced could have made Mandy realize how bad her life sucks without Georgie. And that brings them back together for a stronger marriage. That alone could take up a whole season.

I was expecting this video to have her own theory. My theory is that while they are married Georgie and her dad open a 2nd location for Georgie to manage. After the divorce he buys it out and turns it into Dr. Tire and goes from there with half the profits going to Mandy and Cece.

I know this is about Georgie, but I really wish they would’ve done a little bit more pushing onto Missy for being very in tune/intuitive with peoples feelings so she could’ve made a genius therapist. I mean they were a little hints about her being pretty good with understanding people through the series as it was. But then as an adult Missy she was just a waitress so that kind of sucked. I guess it’s possible adult Missy could have accidentally done something and lost her license so she had to become a waitress?

Yea, I get Alice Cooper [they could play his song, “Under My Wheels”, get it? Wheels/Tires 😂]. However, Alice? Is that any different than Johnny Cash’ssong, “A Boy Named Sue”?

@@andrewsullivan8641 right but at that time I was thinking of the ‘other’ Alice Cooper, hence playing the song “UnderMyWheels” and Johnny Cash, with his song titled “A Boy Named Sue”. Reps to young George for coming up with naming the baby Alice but it appeared Mandy didn’t care much for it.

I hope so. Since he got older and goes by George now, surely family members get together occasionally. That has to be confusing? I have family members named after their Dads too and speaking as just a cousin, I’m not always sure towhich one they are referring to unless the kids mention “Dad” but the other Aunts/Uncles/cousins and good friends sometimes don’t. I was away for many years and so I wasn’t present for the special memories they shared. They must have thought I was though. Since he told Leonard (when Leonard and Sheldon were visiting him at the Tire Store), that he goes by George now. The grown up Georgie, could now be referred to as Young George? 😱 Except for to Sheldon, of course.

Boy they like killing us with emotion on the series. I knew they had to kill off George but I was hoping they would keep Mandy and they would last. I don’t say exited much, but I am to see this new series. I came to the rodeo late on the BBT series but luckily caught every episode when they came out in YS.
