I quit work when my third was born. It was the best decision I have ever made.

You look so much more full of the love of Christ and just beautiful and joyful after quitting your job. I’m still working my corporate 9-5 and can feel how it’s negatively impacting my mental health and ability to be a good wife and mother!

I was a teacher for 7 years. The day before yesterday was my last day. I had to make this decision due to health problems. To also take care of my kids. They have chronic asthma and allergies to foods. So they get sick often. I'm a bit anxious how it will all go down but I'm trusting in God to help us ❤

I’m a sahm mom for 2 years now , I have 3 kids one I home school and 2 toddlers age 1&2. I love being a sahm mom , spending time with my kids and taking care of home. Unfortunately I’m going to have to return back to work because financially were struggling with one income. I’m currently 2 semesters away from finishing my masters and my plan was to go back to work when my babies started school. I’m really not ready to go back to work and I have anxiety just thinking about putting my babies in daycare. So I thought about teaching because of the work balance and schedule for my family. Now with all the teachers I see online venting about how stress , overwork and underpaid they are I’m having second thoughts about entering this field , especially with all the requirements , a teacher preparation program , exams etc. I’m glad you are doing what’s best for you and your family. I pray that God will intervene for my family and all the other moms out there face with this same dilemma 🙏🏽

Thank you I really needed this. I'm a new stay at home mom. So use to helping to contribute my husband started a job at the police academy which would need me at home with my two almost 2 year old. I'm a janitor and I loved my job. But I now realize that God wanted more time with me and my husband and kids needed me. This video did convict me. God your will be done not mine.

This really blessed me I recently made the choice to stay home after my baby is born It’s been a journey to get the privilege to be an active parent having had two losses and I just felt moved and called not to give up this opportunity to enjoy motherhood and be a steward of my family and home Thanks for your obedience it really encourages me to commit to my decision

🤔 when I first “jumped” into the mercy of the Lord, I was pregnant with my son. During my 3rd trimester I had to go on bed rest and I never retired back to work when my maternal leave was up. I been at his mercy since even though I was trying to do things MY way.

Hey! God bless you. I am watching this testimony today and on my phone I have "Isaiah 41:13" and have been having it for a long time and I am praying about moving and moving out of my mom's home. God has talked to me truthfully through this testimony.

I just came across your channel! I feel like our lives parallel. Lol I will be a first year teacher this year, we actually went about a similar route to teaching... Same subject and grade level certification as well. I just came out of my season of rest where I quit my job to stay at home with my children. Now I'm about to begin my teaching journey. I'm nervous but I know God is with me. Actually the second video I watched on here you mentioned that you had just been studying 1 thessalonians 4:11. I was just studying that yesterday. And then when you said full circle on this video... It absolutely blew my mind! I was just watching a sermon late last night titled Full Circle by Sarah Jakes Roberts. It brings confirmation into something that I have been praying about. Thank you for sharing!

Came across your video so encouraging..My testimony is similar when God called my family to homeschooling this year, I didn't know how we were going to do it because I'm from a generation of public schooling, but I just walked out on faith, it's been 7 months since my husband I been homeschooling our 2 children and it's been a blessing to our family we love it, also I'm a Wife/ homeschooling Mother and I stay at home Full-time 💕🙌🏾🥰

New sub here! I recently moved to Texas and have always been a stay at home mom since my son was born (he's four now.) I always had a calling to become a teacher and I'm (hopefully) going to start my internship this year as a middle school math teacher. I am sharing the same concerns that you did and I fear it would be worse with me since I literally have never been away from my son for more than an hour, lol! However I have to do the internship in order to get my certification, but, after I get fully certified, I definitely plan to quit so I can be back home with my family. I currently work for Outschool (although I don't have any classes up at this time), so I am hoping that my math cert will make me more marketable so that I can afford to stay home and still be there for my family. My mom always used to say to me "God didn't put anything on this earth that you can't handle," or so it goes.

I just watched your video today, and your story spoke volumes to me. All that you were feeling is exactly what I have been feeling this year. I just got a job as a teacher's aide last November, but as the months kept coming, I began to feel how more difficult it was becoming, especially since my husband is serving in the military atm. I have been really feeling that "mom guilt" and exhaustion as well. I've been doing my best to cling close to God these past few months and many things have been convicting me that God is calling me back home to be there for my family more. I love my students as well but my family is where my heart is struggling. But this just gives me more conviction of what God is saying. So thank you, Kayla, for sharing this with us. ❤️

Even though I don't have kids, I work full-time and so like you, am mostly exhausted, don't feel like I have enough time to attend to all my homemaking duties, be a good wife etc. It's hard working on top of everything else we have going on. I pray God enables me and my husband to also have me become a SAHW and mum in future. I'm going to watch those 2 videos you mentioned, as I feel the calling also.

I watched this video just after you posted it a couple months back and I was in a place where I felt led to stay home. I took notes on your words and the scripture. It has resonated with my heart so much. I reread these words frequently as I battled the decision. I felt like I was in spiritual warefare. I too feel like i would never have decided this to be my life. I had a goood career that i loved. Thank you for your obedience to his call and for sharing because He has used you to encourage me to take a step of faith. 🙌 praying for your continued success as a stay at home mom. For wisdom, strength and to put on the full armor or God. That he upholds you with his mighty right hand.

Young Sis. Yassss. I am having this same struggle however I am closer to the end of my career. I’m hanging on cause I love helping others (I’m a social worker), but my health and another calling is yelling at me. Lol. Ultimately I’m fighting myself and God to continue to work full-time. But for what? To literally work myself to even greater sickness. Ummm I think not. Lol. So like you I need to remember Gods got me as I know He does. And I need to walk in faith on this like I encourage my clients to do. He has other work for me and is just waiting for me to get to it. Just like motherhood at home for you (which is the greatest full-time job) I have grands that I want to be present for and a community of women that I want and need to continue to encourage. Can’t do it if I keep fighting for something that’s not what God needs me to be doing right now. Thank you for being obedient, for sharing and for the encouragement. It’s interesting that moms are socialized to feel guilty for working but men never do. I’m glad you are following what God called you to do. 🙏🏾 Please take care of yourself financially in case of divorce or if something happens to your husband. It’s a big financial risk to give up your career and income.
