Im glad Martinelli is getting the recognition he deserves. For as good as Saka has been for Arsenal and will continue to be I have always believed Martinelli has a ridiculous ceiling. And I think he will surpass Jesus, Saka, Odegaard as our most influential and feared attacker. All he needs to add is goals, which I'm confident he will. I still believe he will end up playing through the middle and possibly turn into a hybrid winger/striker similar to Henry. The kid is phenomenal as far as I'm concerned and alongside Saliba, the 2 most valuable players in the squad in my opinion.

I agree with everything but the last one. I think Martineli will become your most valuable player but right now Jesus and Zinchenko are more influential. Don't forget where Arsenal was before they arrived.

@@pitzkale Exactly, it amazes me how little love Partey gets. Imo he is the closet thing we have to world class player when he is firing on all cylinders. Also this Viera player seems to be slipping under the radar. He looks technically superb. I honestly think he will overtake Odeegard soon.

BOTH Nelson & Marqinhos should be training Hard, to play confidently on BOTH Wings! so they can not only be subs at half time in EPL, UEL etc but man Saka&Martinelli need rests, Marti's side needs more starters subs, they shouldn't restrict themselves to the left lane only! I rem seeing Nelson play for us on the right! Marqinhos is young enough to learn both, so that they can both Interchange seamlessly DURING Matches, give defenders all kinds of headaches! for 100+mins!

From the moment he came into the team in the Emery days, he's had the same mentality, which is work hard, never stop working, and give your best every match. Back then, with how many unlikable players there were, he stood out. He instantly became my favorite player. Even though there are so many likeable players now (it's actually hard to find someone I don't like), he's still my favorite. As for his ceiling, if he can find the easy pass more instead of shooting from bad angles when he's running in on goal, he'll be an assist machine. If he's getting a goal or assist every other game, I'll take that all day long.

Martinelli and Saka are amazing Wingers but their one weakness is Goals. When I watch Marquinos this is a player who is a genuine goal threat from out wide. All we can hope is our entire team keeps progressing and keeps improving and praying Man City slips up.

Do not forget martinelli position at start of his career at arsenal was a central forward. Hes very clinical if play central role and more tricky at left wing. He could be as good as legendary player such as thierry henry if he fill hes potential.

Martinelli started on fire at Arsenal as an 18 yr old scoring 10 goals. Then he had an injury for 8 months. If he didnt have that injury he would ve been even better

As a neutral, I've wanted Arteta to succeed and make Arsenal title contenders, but I've also admired the miracles that Klopp has pulled off at Liverpool. My ideal (albeit unlikely) scenario is for both City and Arsenal to lose this weekend. That way Arsenal remains top but Liverpool gets closer to coming back into the mix.

@@kingkenzokwansa This is utter nonsense. Liverpool are our greatest rivals. City have only existed for 12-15 years. Prior to that United couldn't care less about them. Arsenal and Chelsea fall somewhere in between. Two clubs that have a rivalry with United and there's genuine dislike there. Don't get ahead of yourself though, the only reason we'd have City win over your lot. Is because City are so far behind in terms of League titles. Another one doesn't really bother us. Also, Arsenal and United have been underachieving over the last decade. Two great clubs historically, haven't been hitting the heights their reputation deserves. So yes, watching Arsenal play well doesn't sit well with United fans. Just as Arsenal would be salty if United started winning games with regularity. Its the nature of the rivalry. However, don't for a second that United fans put Arsenal ahead of Liverpool as our greatest rivals. Not even close.

Comment is, In comparison to every other commercial radio station, regardless of content or topic, Talksport subjects us to way too many adverts. Also sly how owners run the pre-recorded adverts and then, that's not enough for them, get commentator to read out some additional advert live at either end of block of adverts. Martinelli tends to be quite one dimensional, from his approach play to especially his shooting. If he learns to add guile and variety to his finishing, he'll blow everyone out the water. Imagine that rampant movement and skill with goalscoring. Part of the reason likes of Salah are so deadly is cuz defenders fear a proven goalscorer, they're too busy worrying about how to contain them, keep them out of the box.

If Gabriel Martinelli was named Martin Gabriel from Oxford. He'd be branded as the greatest player on the planet. Alas, he's not an English man therefore the praise is a little muted. He is objectively better than Saka by most metrics. Saka is becoming predictable and doesn't dribble past players like Martinelli does. Martinelli is utterly frightening to watch and no doubt, to play against. He can become truly world class before Saka does, but he's not English so he'll be appreciated after he's gone. Not while he and Saka are in the same team.

@@User-ei7eo He's very predictable, that's why he doesn't take players on. He cuts out on to the left and plays a pass to a midfielder, if he gets the ball back he goes for a shot. I've rarely seen him dribble past players the way Martinelli does. Saka doesn't excite and Saka lacks pace. He's a good young player, because he is sensible with the ball. But the greats don't become greats by being tepid on the ball. You have to take risks and you need weapons at your disposal. Saka doesn't have a lot of weapons.

I hope he comes good but he's been at Arsenal for a while now and his goalscoring stats and overall play remind me of Rosicky, Hleb and Oxlade Chamberlain; a lot of running but very little cutting edge. 11 league goals in 3 full seasons for Martinelli if you were wondering. Honestly can't see him all of a sudden turning into a clininal finisher like Van Persie. Already missed a ton of fairly easy chances for Arsenal this season.

Why am I hearing, “if Haaland gets injured”? The team just won the league without him while getting 93 points. He will not make City better in the league-that’s impossible. The only way there’ll be a title race if if another team can get 90+ points. Forget about injuries derailing City, even to KDB AND Haaland.

13 games without a clean sheet? Where he has he plucked that stat from😂 we literally kept a clean sheet on Thursday and if he’s talking prem only we kept a clean sheet vs Brentford literally 2 games ago 😂

He has potential. But when you compare him to the top wide forwards/wingers of the last few seasons like Mane, Mahrez, Salah, Neymar, Son, Vini jr, Foden, Sterling, Sane, then I don't think he's there yet.
