FIFA 20 FEMALE GOALKEEPER FOOTBALL
In this video we will be testing ourselves against a professional goalkeeper from the Swedish national team.
Many people wonder how good a professional women's goalkeeper actually is, which is what we try to figure out in this video!
Zecira Musovic is a Swedish goalkeeper who is 23 years old and plays for the club FC Rosengård in Sweden (a club Zlatan Ibrahimovic grew up close to). She won the bronze medal with Sweden in the 2019 Women's World Cup.
She has won the Swedish League "Damallsvenskan" 3 times, the Swedish Cup "Svenska Cupen" 3 times and the Swedish Supercup "Svenska Supercupen" 2 times.
Over the years she has played with some of the best female footballers ever, such as Marta from Brazil and Caroline Seger from Sweden.
On FIFA 20, she has an overall rating of 77, which makes her one of the better female goalkeepers in the game. Do you think that is a fair rating for her?
How do you think she compares to some of the best men's goalkeepers like De Gea, Ter Stegen, Neuer, Alisson and Courtois?
We will be taking some free kicks and longshots against Musovic, and try some challenges to find out just how good she is. We have a penalty shootout, and we let her take some shots to see if she could be a good outfield player.

She said she used to play every position except gk, and even if it was a while ago she wouldn’t forget, as a pro you need to hit near 100% shooting in practices/training and even gks work on kicks and as a gk she needs a big leg, leading to her power, it’s just that she wasn’t always shooting well, and for women it’s a lot harder to score with pressure, u might already know all of this but whatev I’m bored😂

Dr Thuganomics what is your point? The reason for defenders (at least in mens football) is to stop attackers from getting to the shot, the size of the goal doesnt have anything to do withthem. But in womens football they should have snakke goals because biologically they have snakker bodies

I don’t see why people are calling her bad. Some of the shots that they took were amazing. The precision on their shots are unbelievable on a few occasions. Some of their shots would be hard even for the best male goalkeeper to save. I understand that male goals keepers would have a better chance due to their height and arm span etc... but all in all she looks a great goalkeeper. She does need to learn to react to shots quicker but in time it will improve + she needs to take the speed of the ball. Parry it down to the ground if it’s a stinger or catch it as she does have a tendency to try and milk the majority of her saves (parry for no reason)

Her technique is sound, I feel that most of the shots she couldn't save were not for lack of ability, but rather a lack of stature, a taller keeper with a longer arm span and a similar skill set to her's would've probably kept most of these out, nevertheless, probs to her she's an excellent keeper

Well, I was a U-11, 13, 15 and 17 goalkeeper in Brasil. I didn't make it as a pro because of my poor health. Anyway, I think I can analyse her properly: technically, she looks pretty solid. Good to know that she is a Chelsea player now! About the video, she seems to have some troubles with those knuckle balls, but that kind of shot is not that common in women's football, to be fair. But, seriously, girl's technically as good as I expected her to be. The problem is, as a woman, she obviously can't jump like a man. If you want to compare her with a man, you're wrong, it's not the same sport. She is good and I wish her the best. Good video!

What ppl dont understand is that the pay is based on revenue earned. Male players werent earning 150k a week back in 1950 or whatever. Football wasnt as lucrative. When the women's football events start earning more money, they'll get equal pay. The money has to exist for you to be paid.

Don’t think you actually saw those shots for what they were. A save makes a shot look worse but actually look at where on the goal there shots are going and you’ll realize she’s making some impressive saves

I was already wondering why she wasn't fully stretching when going for some of the balls. Couple of times it looked like she went for the corner but stopped halfway mid air and didn't stretch her body like at all. She def wasn't going full out.

Goalkeepers (and defenders to a lesser extent) are the one thing that need massive improvement in Women's Football. Not comparing them to men's, but they can hold their own and be fun to watch sometimes. Just need to improve the defensive part of the game.

Problem with goalkeepers in women’s football aren’t technique or anything. She had great diving techniques and so on. Problem is compared to men they naturally lack both the height and the muscle ability to jump as high. With both less genetics to jump and shorter height the reach is very very different. You can’t compare them to men. It’s not fair. Let’s say a male gk is 190cm and jumps 25% higher then the 175cm female gk. ofc she will never be able to get the same shots.

The goal should be smaller. After all women are smaller and cant jump as high/far as men. Tbh she did better than expected and many times her size was the reason she couldnt catch the ball.

I couldn’t help but noticing that only one shot was held (the meme bit). Quite a big part of being a keeper is keeping the ball. But hey, it was “spot kicks” so probably nothing you focused on. Big ups to Zerica. I doubt the comment section could do it better. Always easy to be a couch coach.
