This video was recorded a few weeks ago, and there was a slight nerf to his ascension 1 passive. It now gives 110%/125%/160% depending on stacks, rather than 110%/130%/160%, and since most teams will be at 2 stacks, it'll very often matter. That being said, it's a pretty small nerf so it doesn't really change much.

@@brutalterminator3868 in terms of damage neuv is way better, he is a hypercarry. ayato is more of a driver/enabler with some off field presence. damage isn't really ayato's speciality.

I just realised... Jean's base HP is one of the highest in the game and her base ATK is one of the lowest out of all 5* and her healing is based on atk. bruh

@@bobsmith12345 She still heals a ton so effectively it doesn't really matter all that much. The high HP is actually pretty good because she does spend some time on field if you're using her skill a lot, and being a bit tanky to take some hits while pulling enemies in is pretty good.

I wonder if the lack of hp buffs in the game that force hoyo to make the hp scaling characters to have inflated numbers so that they can still compete will prevent hoyo from *ever* making any hp buffers, since all the hp scaling characters already do good damage, and thus adding an "hp bennett" would make them easily the top. like imagine if xiangling was as good as she is with bennett, but she could get that damage without bennett, and then add bennett on afterwards. Xiangling would become the #1 character without a doubt instantly

I feel like making your tanky DPS characters even tankier through buffing max HP that they also scale off of would be a bit too much value.

Although if they end up making one, at this point it would only greatly affect Neuvillette, since the other worth mentioning HP scaling character is Yelan who doesn't snapshot and to some degree Hu Tao, but the HP buffer would need another trait to their kit to be a good slot in her team. On the other hand if it were more of a dinamic buffer as Kazuha it would definitely be a huge buff to said characters.

I bet they will likely never release an "HP Bennett", for the same reason why they've been very stingy with snapshotting abilities since National became popular. Unfortunately high HP scaling characters will limit the design space of HP buffers but I bet they never intended to make any

They will definitely make an HP buffing character at some point and they will increase Neuvs damage. But they will never make an “HP Bennett” for the reason you mentioned as well as because they just will never make another support as strong as Bennett. We’ve known that for a long while. It will just be an HP buffer that buffs a more reasonable amount

Neuvilette not having a good Hydro partner until most likely Furina reminds me exactly of Nilou before Nahida. He's going to go crazy once she's out

unless you have him at C1, he'll lose out on damage. we're not even sure what furina does yet but she might be similar to C0 raiden as a subDPS/support

@cutepotato1321 possibly. I'm going to wait for 4.2 beta leaks on her kit before deciding on Neuvillette. Her weapon looks insane I'd hate to miss out on that, too. I already have a C1 Ayato who can do 42k per slash so I'm only gonna consider Neuvillette if he's insanely fun.

There is a limit to how much variety you can output with just having 2 skill buttons. There is a reason most MMOs have like 8-12 skills, because the liberty for creating variety of different classes is much higher. On top of this, genshin outputs new characters at a much faster rate than any MMO, so they have to make copy-paste characters to meet deadlines.

On controller too, the charged attack button is usually pressed with the same finger as the one you use to move the stick. So unless it can be used with the bow aiming trigger, it might be clunky

@@bastard2978 apparently, leaks suggest that he gains 50% interruption resistance when performing CAs. At C1, it increases to 100%. Neuv + beidou will reach 75% interruption resistance, idk which character i have has that 🥲

I would say Ayato on steroids but hardly supportive capabilities. The reason why Neuvillette isn’t a hypercarry is because we lack supportive options for him, but the damage is definitely there.

The whole hypercarry thing depends on your definition of hypercarry and where you draw the line between an hypercarry and an on field carry. Currently there aren’t teams that massively buff him like it’s possible with ATK scaling characters, but he can still deal most of his team’s damage in some teams so… yeah, it’s just a matter of definitions

Like he said in vid, it's more because of lack of options than the stats. If Furina or Sigewinne or someone lese does end up as a good hp buffer then Neuv can swing that way.

@@ShinySwalot most characters that synergize well with the characters you have are 4 stars. Like kuki for hyper bloom with xinqui and yelan and xiangling , bennet and sucrose for your childe so if you like neuvillet there is no reason to not go for him !

Since they're gonna release about 2 more artifact domain in fontaine, hope one of em is a supp artifact set that isn't buffing ATK% (noblesse and tenacity alr does that). Make it EM or HP% or DEF% team buff at least. Like we need 5 star instructor set with longer duration and easy to trigger effect for supports that usually are the first to start the team rotation.

If you think about it, there's not really many "overpowered" Main DPS characters, the Overpowered ones are usually supports or Sub-dps (Nahida, Kazuha, Xiangling for a few examples)

On the part about IR, he actually has 50% IR during his beam attack, but no IR during the manual charging (which you wont rly do anw). 50% IR is the same as Childe during his skill and Cyno during his Burst. It was revealed weeks ago on a gameplay info leak, it was however removed on the leaks subreddit so it may or may not be available still so maybe "secretly" removed since it's not mentioned anywhere on his kit

One advantage that Neuvi has over these two is the fact that he's ranged so he can kite (mentioned in the vid too) unlike Childe and Cyno

Hyperbloom team with Neuvillette, Nahida, Kuki and Kokomi will be canonly the highest iq team comp in game. If I was a theory crafter I'd name this K2N2 (as from their names) which are common used constant abbreviation for wave propagation for quantum physics (bc wave like what Neuvillette is doing and it sounds smart enough for such group).

Sure there were cases like Sara with Raiden and I also think that these two will play well together (at least hope so) and even opposite things happened like Kaeya West/Diona are decent supports for Diluc.

@@amandaslough125 that's like saying Diona works well with Xiangling because you can melt her skill, yes Deyha's skill will indeed vape for less damage than 1 hit from Oz, assuming they are also the only characters on the team and nothing interrupts their lackluster application. Deyha's numbers just don't exist and her application is to slow, feels bad tbh.

I am going to go for him c0 100%. I will also be getting Furina. Only decision yet to be made is if i get a con of a sig for one of them or just save for later characters. As a BP welkin player i have some fates saved up, but i can also get the BP weapon. Once the "dreams" about Furina are out, i would love to see a video discussing what would get the most value out of: Neuvi c1 or signature or Furina c1 or signature.

I'm in the same boat. Haven't pulled since last Ayaka banner (got C4) and have enough characters (both serious and troll builds) for any content. The itch to pull someone is strong and he looks decently fun but won't offer anything new. Was hyped for Clorinde when she was "Captain R" but they've changed her color palette and revealed her as electro. :/ I'm thinking about investing vertically again and get C2 Furina if her C1 is not absolute trash and she is close to as meta defining as Nahida was. We'll know in about 10 days! Good luck in your wishing!

@@xanthee_imr From the leaks i have heard Arlecchino wont be right after, but even worse. 4.3 Navia, 4.4 Cloud Retainer 4.5 Clorinde 4.6 Arlecchino is the timeline i have heard. And i want all of them, as long as they are not Dehya level. But i swore to myself that i wont go beyond BP welkin for this game, so i will have to see for whom i get a constealtion or a signature weapon. Current tendency is Neuvis weapon, because it does give a big upgrade, but that may change once i know Furinas kit and how good of a weapon i may have for her. *Waits faster*

On the other hand i do want quite a few of the upcoming units also, Navia Chlorinde Cloud Retainer and Arlecchino, unless any of them are too bad gameplay wise. Most likely skip is Navia, since i dont realy play geo, except ZL ofc. And since she is said to come in 4.3 i can spend a few of my wishes on 4.1 and 4.2. We'll know in about 10 days! *Waits faster*

His C4 will allow him to do 1 extra charge attack per rotation even without an off field healer since he heals himself when he absorbs droplets for his charge attack. So basically: -Use skill ->3 droplets -Charge attack -> use 3 droplets and generate 1 -Ult -> 6 droplets, now 7 total -Charge attack -> use 3 and generate 1 so 5 left -Charge attack -> use 3 and generate 1 so 3 -and charge one last time. This should work out pretty well since it seems his charge attacks take 4 seconds each allowing his c4 to generate a drop every single charge attack.

If you want 3 reactions I think Baizhu/Raiden/Kazuha will be his best team on release. You get shielding, healing and some dendro application with Baizhu. Raiden lets you apply electro from range and Kazuha is going to be the premiere method for buffing his straight hydro damage.

his charge attack continuously drains hp and his skill and burst heal him with the sourcewater droplets, you'd have to try to not have full stacks.

If the leakers are correct and the 4* on his banner are Xingqiu, Fischl and Diona I'm gonna pull no matter what. I have all of them at c3 and I need to increase them, expecially Xingqiu and Fischl. I have actually 150 pulls, and I'm gonna do 50 pulls so I can still guarantee a Furina in 4.2. If he cames, I'm happy, if he doesn't I'm happy too. Seems pretty interesting but atm I feel like we have so many characters and so little content that whatever I take It's okay for me. And I just have 10 limited characters lol (Ayaka, Yelan, Kazuha, Zhongli, Venti, Childe, Raiden, Alhaitham, Shenhe and Lyney).

I already have C6 xingqiu and I’m not hyped for fischl cons as she’s fairly complete at C0, but diona cons are pog for me and characters I already have the C6 for means starglitter which means more wishes which means better odds for furina so I’m fairly happy about that

I have a R1 Sacrificial Jade ready for him and I've been farming the new artifact domain. What kind of substats would be best to worst? I was thinking HP%, ER, CRIT R/CRIT DMG, EM.. Am I right? Also, would an ER sands be something to consider if I need the ER or i'm better off just switching him to Fav Codex in those situations?

i wonder if theres a situation that ER/hydro/HP is considerable, would require hellish good crit stats on the sub stats i just realized neuvillette is one of the few that can probably work really well with anemo traveler since his charge attack hits so far away, and since raiden and nahida also arnt restricted by position like some of the other options, it could be a thing. not to mention most people probably have C6 to have a extra +20% element shred

That is assuming that you are comfortable without healing (some are) or you are using Prototype, which is generally gonna be enough if you don’t have too much skill issue. Outside of those assumptions, use a healer Edit. Or a strong shielder

Marechausee gives +36%. Base Crit is +5% So you'll only need about 40% CR in substats.

I'm confused between Childe and Neuivillette. My only question is that, will Neuivillette even have a team that will be as good as Childe International? Building teams around Neuivillette seem quite complex due to his energy issue, I know tazer teams would help I don't know if those teams will be as good overall dmg wise. I've seen the Childe international consistently destroy the abyss for quite sometime now and I don't understand if Neuivillette will have that consistency of Childe or even Alhaitham for the sake of comparison.

I'm guessing that Neuivillette's hyperbloom teams might be competitive with Childe's international team (assuing you have all the best units for each team, mainly Raiden and Nahida for hyperbloom). His energy requirements will likely be low, especially if you're running him with double electro, and hyperbloom is very strong already.

For his archetype i think he's good enough, but comparing him to Childe isnt really fair tbh cuz Childe is mostly an one trick pony driver, a really overpowered one, but still an one trick pony archetype. Neuvilette does seem complex, but his option is also way bigger than Childe. He's more of a Ayato sidegrade imo. Tho we have yet to see what Furina will be so it can't really be said much for now what his ceiling is gonna be.

Tho just based on first impression, Neuvillette seems like a combination of some of the best parts of Ayato with the best parts of Childe. Also, it's a shame that he's in the first part of the patch, so we won't be able to officially see what Furina does before Neuvillette's banner goes away. She might powercreep everyone!

Check The Genshin Scientist, he made some calculations and you might find something more specific about teams dps, to then compare it with international, but we will get more accurate results after release. Also, keep in mind that the strenght of a team it’s not just the theoretical dps in ideal scenarios, Neuvi’s teams seems generally to be very flexibles and he seems to have great synergy with many team archetypes, also future character might synergise well too

There are many cope spreaders above me, so I save you with legit answer - in taser team with venti nevi will do less dmg, riptide overlap just so much damage. In single target team like hyper bloom nevi will do more damage, in classic national team nevi will be worse. And about versatility - he barely side grade to ayto, couse his aoe much less, he don't work with normal attacks, he desperately need stun interaption resist and possible healer as well, so his team flexibility not that great
