ik. thats why i love listening to gen g's fall split comms. they were so good at communicating and its why they dominated that split. the fact that they can comm their boost, where they are, what they're doing, alongside also comming that they're covering their teammate or where they'll be in like 5 seconds is just insane

I think the thing that stands out most about him is his consistency. He knows how and where to place balls off his rotation quite well. The thing that's obviously holding him back is his offensive arsenal. He's not very creative when it comes to creating oppurtunities for his teammates or himself. I think that's something that will improve with time though playing higher level scrims giving him higher competition. The greatest way to improve is always playing above your level and I feel like that partially applies to him here. He'll be a good player after a split or 2 playing RLCS.

right? all the teams have diff styles from what i've heard - like vitality is more minimal (though tbf my french isn't good enough to hear most of what they're actually saying). ppl can criticize comms that are this chaotic, but it clearly works for plenty of teams. lol @ ppl assuming they haven't experimented and found a style that works for them [edit] or maybe it was karmine corp that i've heard? one of those, lol

@@YHWHsam Ehhh... not quite. More so Champ to SSL. If the gap was that wide all the top players would be Zen equivalents. Would be cool to see that though. I think Frosty was said to actually have gone from GC to pro incredibly fast. Not sure exactly how long but still insane improvement. I don't think he's as good as most players who have seen the big stage or played in LAN/Majors. But he is new so it's TBD. Zen 2.0 likely won't happen again. Also, its never going to happen, but Zen, Vati, and Itachi would be an insane team.

@@yillowo Good for him, but it is obvious he lacks in some aspects where as other pros wouldn’t have any issues. Such as creativity as someone mentioned earlier. He’s good. Way better than I’ll ever be don’t get me wrong. But he doesn’t have the game time as other pros do. I’d even go as far to say Squishy in this current state would be better. (Using squishy as an example because ppl love to hate on him)

It's a good reminder that MMR is simply a number and the true skill of a player encompasses way more metrics than a simple number could ever truly represent. Most of these metrics are intangibles that aren't something you can get from a purely analytical POV, either, things like the ability to articulate/understand the high level of comms, or the very real phenomenon of "playing up" to the level of your teammates/opponents. Frostyy getting these kinds of props from the pro/6 man circuit at such a "low" ELO should be incentivizing to cusp players across NA imo, the door is as wide open as it's been in years and seemingly most NA teams are open to the idea of injecting some fresh talent into their ranks.
