They should’ve released starfield next year

It's embarrassing... Everyone is telling them what's wrong with the game and instead, they decide to play dumb and act like there's nothing wrong but skins and menus with it. Get to work!!

I love this game! But photomode update? Really? Do we need that? The glitches need fixing. The random ship encounters, are next to nil. Put more cities out there. In Skyrim there what maybe 6, or seven? With dlc 8. Starfield there’s 4! C’mon! We need the fixes and then more content.

Stuff like the character losing the ability to blink was a bug going all the way back to Skyrim, there's been mods to fix it, and yet Bethesda somehow failed to fix it in default Starfield. Starfield is the embodiment of the minimal viable product.

You can't rush out a dlc if your game is totally broken. They've almost fixed the game it runs great now. They did break the random ship landing with the last patch, so hopefully they fix it. They've no doubt have put way more stuff on planets. It's going to take this game a little while to reach it's a potential.

This game doesnt even deserve the modding community.

I really don't understand all these decisions based around exploration when there is literally nothing to explore in this game. Add some content and then maybe people will want to explore

I stumbled onto vanguard attempting to board a uc vista ship for smuggling contraband. So, when I attempted to board said UV Vista it hit me with a high bounty. Curious thing though it was uc personnel on the Vista.

The question for starfield is how hard is it to fix the loading screens. If they can never fix that, or a add manual flight mode , the game will never reach it's peak. But overall creating a story and all the player content they made is harder then creating space sim features which alot games were able to create.

Amazing video! I was thinking of going back to Starfield and wanted to know what might have changed, and this video answered it! I'll admit I was afraid to click on it because I thought it would be like other Starfield videos where all they do is bash the game, but thankfully it wasn't and was awesome.

They really need to fix the carry weight issue ive had where if you use a carry weight drink after it expires your carry weight base goes way down i used to have a base of 260 now im down to 220 wth dude. No i havemt changed gear and they all are pocketed an additional carry weight

I love starfield. After about 300+ hours, I am kinda done. I still pop in to pirate and pillage. But I would love DLC. New quests, characters, and hopefully better writing

I have to disagree qith this game not being super buggy. I picked it up again after playing for 2 qeeks at launch and have had some pretty nasty ones. My ships shield have been decimated. I was at 2,500 shields with perks and everything, but my actual shields where 650. I kept getting decimated in space battles until i i checked my shield numbers, only fix is to abandon that ship and build a new one. It seems to be caused by "savings while in your ship in space" and vasco might have something to do with it. I had to dismiss vasco and disable auto saves.

What got me to stop playing as the last straw was the game breaking bug that prevents completion of one of the game's best quests "The Cruicble" the door was locked and stayed locked and the "Aggro Trick" didn't work to fix the bug so I just saved and quit and never launched it again. I could've lived with the bug especially since the game has NG+ and I could've just done it again a few hours later by doing NG+. But what made my Starfield experience really unenjoyable was the fact that the majority of my gameplay was in 20-30 fps on my PC, yes I don't have the latest parts but the parts I use aren't bad as every other game I play I get good fps except Starfield, and I just couldn't take it anymore. I had lowered my graphic settings to essentially the lowest it could go and only got good frames when I was loaded in a building cell or a cave cell. The game just ISN'T optimized for performance as Bethesda has a shit coding team and always has, anyone who has ever seen their code and/or modded their other games knows this for a fact. The fact that their update didn't even include ways to make the game more stable and instead was an update for photo mode that no one uses made me furious when I heard it cus I still WANT to play this game and want to like playing it but until I know that its gotten better, some gamebreaking bugs were fixed, and/or the performance is improved without having to have a RTX 4090 I will not be playing.

Does anyone know where the illegal trader space station, the one that just buys illegal items at a good value, I found it once but can't remember where it's a station that's in a system of its own, that looks like a gas cloud, has anyone else found this?

It's quite interesting that Starfield is more liked by older Bethesda fans from the Daggerfall days. Personally, I think Starfield would be better received if it also had randomly generated dungeons. That feeling when you discover that boring collpased mine at least 20 times, totally kills the whole experience of the game.

I don’t get it the studio is much bigger and now we have wide use of AI and things are moving slower than ever?

I really thought that at least you could explore the different galaxies which you can but not really, just landing and running for ages to get to an abandoned tower. Land rovers should have been designed before the rest of the game. Random encounters should be everywhere and side quest should be much more in depth, also there is no need for a silent character even FO4 had good dialogue.

The npc quality is just mind boggling for it being a 2023 game

It's a shame that Starfield is the only Main series game without DLC as of this post. Normally it gets a DLC every 4 to 6 months and more features. This is indeed very unusual, when Skyrim was released by this stage of it's life cycle it already has a DLC and 12 and a half years later Skyrim is going strong. Even Fallout 4 has DLCS and Creation Contents, sure it's shallow but it's still awesome to play with. Starfield it started strong but it progressively got weak at the end, it supposed to be our Skyrim of 2023, it got potential but got wasted, and the menu field is not helping, we expect less loading screen. In comparison my playtime in Skyrim 10,125 hours,101 characters and 1,000 mods installed later, still not burned out. Starfield 250 hours, still one character, no mods at least not yet I was burned out.

I dont know, this new way to travel could just be an item you can select from your invintory to help bypass a few extra menues to fast travel.. It would be very nice to have them do something with the space ships though. They did such a good job imo on the space ship crafting and fighting (archadey with a hint of tactics) that I would enjoy being given a reason to spent more time in them, like the ability to fly around a planet and land w/e you wanted would be awesome

I pumped in over 400 hours into my first and only playthrough. I havent played the game in months. I did check it out a week ago and found out that they had patched or attempted to patch a few messed up missions. Alejandros mission has made me stuck with her as my companion for months. I hope they add in alot more stuff and missions.

I really tried to keep my faith in this game after how many people were disappointed at launch. I was one of the few defending this game and hoped it would get better but I’m slowly coming to realize there’s actually no hope

I'm sick of people comparing nms to Starfield. Great video btw, no shade to you. Just frustrated with Smooth brains making this comparison. I love the reflection on other Bethesda games in comparison. I currently play both Starfield and nms and I enjoy them both. They are entirely different games with different gameplay loops. Sure some systems are directly similiar, but that doesn't mean they're comparable. To me nms has a story told in a boring way. Little Customization, with starfield having a massive pool of customization for the player, ships, and bases. It's not even comparable. I can terrorize entire "cities" causing chaos with dynamic responses and outcomes. I can get bounties that actually have consequences that you have to face if you choose not to pay. It took HelloGames 10 years to add ship customization and even then it's not even close to as in depth as the systems in Starfield. Yes their indie developers, but that doesn't excuse the lie sold at launch. Yes Bethesda mislead and exaggerated game features, but it has everything they said it would, even if some of the systems are shallow. Nms launched as a terrible mess, where Starfield has a working foundation that can be improved on quicker with the resources they have. I'm just hoping Light No Fire is as good as it looks, but I'm not holding my breath.

Starfield has so much potential, the game is so modular that they can implement a lot to this game. I'd love it to be free but if they wanna do small Automator DLC that adds a bunch of stuff, I'll take it.

Didn’t knowledgeable people said is impossible to fix travel mechanics because of how the engine was designed?

It’s been 8 months, so I figured maybe they fixed the performance issues. Loaded up the Gamepass version and it won’t go 30 seconds to a minute without stuttering and freezing, even on low settings. 🤦🏻‍♂️🙄 My rig can run a lot of games at high or ultra with no issues. To be fair, considering how embarrassing the release was, and how no one is playing it, I guess I probably wouldn’t bother trying to fix it either. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Its funny how even the real flops like redfall, forspoken dont get so much hate nowadays, but Starfield, even if its mentioned, my god, all haters assemble like their fucking lives depend on it...... its really sad to see this game not get the flowers it deserves, and probably never will, cause the game will keep getting better and better. but this bullshit is just on the internet, in reality people love it. It's great now. It got so bad, I couldn't play for more than 5 or 10 minutes without a hang or crash or dropping out to xbox. I would put in my 5 or 10 minutes of play after each update to see if the problem was fixed. I did that for months, not playing the game, just waiting for the game to work. I don't recall when it was fixed but it finally was and I can now play for hours with rarely an issue.

There are currently more players on FO4, Skyrim, NMS and Witcher 3. I feel they will reluctantly release the DLC then drop the game, but I hope I'm wrong I really liked this game.

You realize about 2/3 of the major additions to NMS you mention were in the OG Starfield? I do agree, though... a roadmap would be very nice.

even with all the new games i play. i still keep coming back to starfield cause to me its still just skyrim in space just fun to loose time mercing spacers and ecliptic

don't get your hopes up on seamless travel between planets or vehicles..

I started a completely new game and build. Now that I understand how all the systems in the game work, my second playthrough is a lot more fun. The same overall problems to the game exist, but people are definitly overblowing how "bad" it is. It's still a great RPG. If this didn't have "Bethesda" on the package, people would be singing a different tune. To me, the biggest changes that they should put is as follows: 1) More enemy diversity, not just on the ground, but in space too. 2) More companions that aren't cookie cutter, fake and boring people without any personality. 3) A land vehicle that also has it's own upgrade system 4) We need more story missions that have interesting conspiracies and dive deeper into lore, and side quests like "The Mantis" 5) They should keep working on their procedural generation and allow the engine to make more unique "explorables" on planets. 6) Improve on existing things like spaceships, outposts etc. Notice, I didn't put anything about space travel, I think for what this game is it's completely fine. It's built the way it is, and to me that's not it's biggest problem. Infact, I'd want it to have even more "fast travel" options. Imagine going to your ship and being able to make a custom list of places you visit most, instead of having to use the starmap or mission screen all the time for those outposts or cities you frequently visit.

Has the shields skill been fixed?

Pretty wild it’s been this long and all we’ve gotten were bug fixing to a game I didn’t really find that buggy… like I was checking up to see if they actually added anything and or overhauled anything…. DLC…. Yenno…. ANYTHING. They are focusing on the wrong stuff.

I imagine they didn't do it because of how much flak it got from people in Fallout 4 but I would like to be able to start colonies on planets instead of just building outposts and then connect trade routes between the outposts. You'd have to have a ship as and find a pilot to start a trade route. I think that would be fun. I have a good time with the settlements in Fallout 4. I like that outposts aren't required but I want more in depth stuff around it.

Where is the DLC I paid for???? I went from Starfield to Empyrion Galactic Survival, and EGS has alot of stuff Starfield should consider.

Ever since the new patch, the random ship encounters has died to very rare if never on planets and moons unless I get a high bounty and the ecliptic show up. Starfield needs mod support and even then I'm not sure if that'll fix the biggest problems.

I put oer 400 hours into Starfield in the first few months, but then got bored with it. I'm waiting for the Creation Kit. I know modders will fix pretty much all I want addressed.

Tbh, judging at what's going on with Starfield updates, it looks like the game is abandoned. May be they will release some small-sized Shattered Space DLC and 2-3 more "bugfix" updates and that's all, folks...

I put around 50 hours into the game at launch, i think the combat and the quests where quite good. Sadly the things that made me want to quit before finishing the main story line was the god awful loading screens and the bad pc performance. I do have a high end computer that runs all the modern games i throw at it, so its dissapointing that i wasnt able to play starfield smoothly. I do think its a good thing that they patch the game frequently but start with the bigger issues instead of fixing minor stuff that players dont notice.

The bones of the game are broken and can’t be fixed. Procedural VS a hand crafted world was the completely wrong way to go.

I will tell you that I love this game. But some of the patches sill don't work for fixes I still have the asteroids following my ship. But I think that it only takes them out with a new game start. They have qusts but no enough and some of the qusts are a lot of fun my Xbox s still crashes throwing out of the game but not as much as before.

9:13 I personally buy Bethesda games for the mods alone, I've not once enjoyed a base game Bethesda game, besides Oblivion as that was my first interaction with one of their games. Bethesda is just very good at making templates for the community to make a good game, hopefully they release this soon.

Lol... photomode updates... scanner changes.... wow how riveting. That still doesn't fix needing 17000 loading screens per quest.... copy paste locations.... complete lack of deep choice for the player in storylines (literally, do that human colony ship mission and all 3 choices are just "get rid of the settlers" lmao). They aren't going to fix the core problems, they will just add DLC to it and try to pull in as much money as they can. Loading screen removal will NEVER happen.

Without asset management and qol marking of locations, vehicles are pointless if added without those prior functions

I just started playing it on game pass couldn't play at the beginning cause no series x . Now I got one. The game is definitely one of a kind , as far as the base , and the category of space games. It's definitely cool. You can interact with a lot of items and stuff. It's the little things man . But just got to new atlantis , so still very early in it but it seems better than the way people made it sounds . Honestly

Starfield isn't a perfect game, but its a very solid game with many different things to do and ways to play. There's ATLEAST 198 distinct locations and POIs, documented with photos on reddit. So people who say "its empty, its boring, I dunno what you're doing lol. You can be a pirate and board and take over ships, create outposts, build ships, or be a bounty hunter, or wonder through space as a starborn. Main story is solid, some of the faction quests like the UC marine and sysdef/crimson fleet are great. Along with fun side quests like Groundpounder. I've had a lot of fun playing it in my 300 hrs. Is it Elden Ring or the Witcher 3? No. But its an 8.5/10 for me. Which jives with the metacritic score of 83. With DLC and years of updates to come, Starfield has every chance to be a 9/10.

remember that Starfield is MASSIVELY Larger then Skyrim ever was, even WITH it's DLC's, so comparing it's development and additional content release time is in all honesty really stupid due to the MAJOR Size Difference. and STILL, they have made a new DLC for Starfield within a years time of Release which is MASSIVE, and honestly is impressive when you consider the scope and size of Starfield in comparrisson to Skyrim. it is no small thing to make DLC within a years time for a game as big as Starfield. that and the technology and hardware now compared to back then is INSANE, which also adds to the entire thing being impressive. dont hate on them too much yet. they havent gone as bad as EA or Ubisoft at least, and that is a good sign in my book.

It seems likely that the bug now with no ships landing is what helped "fix" the form ID bug. All those ships added to the IDs the game generates. Too many IDs and your save is broken, your game will just crash. The only fix was to go to another universe and lose most of what you'd done. Bethesda said they were "adjusting the form ID problem" that they said "some" players had. They can't fix it. It's a game engine limitation. All they can do is reduce the stuff you see or do or the NPCs and such in the game...to reduce the number of IDs. Adding DLC and mods will add IDs. And it's a lie on their part to say this bug only affected some players. Most players had no idea why their game kept crashing. On xbox, they'd try all kinds of wacky ideas to fix it. And, Bethesda didn't share that this has been a problem in their games since Oblivion with Shimmering Isles. It's just that Starfield has so much more stuff in it that it crashes a lot. The other games would slow down, lag, and sometimes crash. A Bethesda feature.

Bro tried so hard in the "What's new section". You put sprinkles on a turd, most of those changes were nonsensical and were fixed with mods within a week. It took them 6 months to add some photo mode junk and drag and drop upscale .dll files, heII I lost fps in their performance update.

I don't know maybe it is me but once I put down a game because of issues I rarely go back to it. This can be said for this game as well as Cyberpunk too. Game pass make this even more easy to do because I am not really paying for the game.

Honestly, I'm really interested in Starfield, it should hit all my sweet spots. I'd love a game like the X series and space exploration combined wit the fond hours I spent in various assassins guilds in TES games. But to my understanding you don't even get native joystick support for the spaceflight. But with them talking about a lifespan of the game of ~10 years and all the issues currently, I will probably wait a few years and then get it with updates and DLCs when there is a good sale. Or I won't if it doesn't improve I will skip it. I don't have time in my life to be an unpaid beta tester...

It's crazy how awesome and life changing something so small can be... Being able to use and open things while the scanner is open.... Freaking epic!

I don't mind the game, but I had to take a break from Starfield. Despite the recent patches this game is still a bug/glitch-fest. I went from trying it on my gaming PC to switching to Xbox S. The wriggling that you have to sometimes do just to proceed, or search for fixes is aggravating. I make notes as I play and yes, I did send that list to Bethesda. As it relates to photo faces...I really don't give a damn about ANY extra content if they can't even fix the basic issues that remain. Maybe it's just my thorough style of gaming, but I couldn't take it anymore!
