Great video as always! Something I didn't know until I got my Vortex Mirco3 and Huey Gen 2 is how much it "clears up" some of the fuzziness people don't like about Holo sights.

Man I love y’all’s content. I can’t get enough. Yet I also can’t get over the chest rig deal and how I was treated. I emailed multiple times with no response regarding my harness. We also ended up not getting the lizard tongue. That was the selling point. Y’all are good dudes. Just really sucks that there was the this huge lack of communication. I hope y’all do well from the bottom of my heart.

Thanks for the support and sorry to hear about the chest rig issues with the harness. We took a look back into gear and are going to be taking a hard look at how to streamline things . If we do any more gear related products they will def be small batch so we can manage emails a lot better. Thanks for the support and the honest feedback. Again we are bummed about that whole situation and really apologize for that experience.

I’ll be honest I love my g33 exps combo and I just got back to using it after being in Germany for 3 years. I tried stretching my DDV7 gen 1 to 445 meters with about 10 shots and 1 landed. But I was having trouble with clarity and just being able to see the target. I can smack 300 all day with 3x but I’m thinking of switching to a 4x or even 5x to be able to touch 500 yards. Awesome video and good review!

I use a EXPS3-2. But for the micro 3x magnifier from vortex. It has amazing clarity and comes with a really good mount. But I will be replacing the mount with a unity omni mount. But honestly the one it comes with is just fine. I just needed more height. Only reason I'm switching. But the Vortex is half the price of the Eotech

I couldn't run my rear backup iron sights because of the shorter design and eye relief issues. You guys did not run BUIS in this video but it should be worth mentioning.

I got the same ADM magnifier mount, it's a piece of titanium junk. With a few flips back and forth, it completely lost zero. And by completely I mean the reticle moves almost to one edge or the other. Mind you that I avoid hitting the magnifier controls. Meanwhile the factory mount keeps zero no matter how much I abuse it. I wouldn't recommend spending the money on an interior product. The only thing I'd agree with you guys on is how smooth it is. But not holding zero is a serious issue.

How big of a difference is this height from a 1.93 height riser? I’m trying to find an option for an aim point pro, but all I have found is a skd block riser. Would the foot print of said optic work with this riser?

I had a g33 before and did like it but like you said the eye relief was terrible.... I'm glad eotech got a little extra with this one. Oh and I have to ask man, what company sells that tiger stripe top? I gotta get one man

Lets say you were able to offset an lvpo, or flip to side lvpo…..anyways just got a g43 behind an eotech and it is really as good as it gets. For 3x. The clarity is surprisingly good. Can reach 600 yards with holdovers and Kentucky windage with a 16in.

Yeah eye relief and the fact the glass kept on getting dirty from blowback are what I didn’t like about the g33. Like the primary arms 2x prism much better. Better eye relief 3.4 inches

Thats the perfect magnifier 6x. Most people will shoot an LPVO either on its lowest power 1x or its highest power 6x, 8x, 10x. So a 6x is the perfect magnifier so that way you have CQB range with the red dot with non of the limitations of a prism or lpvo and if you need to engage at some range 6x is the lowest magnification i would use. If they made an 8x magnifier I would jump on that but they dont. You can also unclip the magnifier and use it as a stand alone monocular and store it in your kit if you dont want in on the rifle.

I’m gonna pick one up for a new setup I’m working on because I want to run the Unity mount. I have a Trijicon HD magnifier right now. The eye relief is easily 2.5” and the clarity is excellent imo. Unfortunately Unity doesn’t make a mount for it. It’ll be interesting to compare to the G43.

IMO 6X is the most ideal magnification for a 5.56 gas gun.

@@newerest1 it’s personal preference, however you start to get into the LPVO range of zoom at that point. So you need to look at your own personal requirements for your tool based off of the “OWOS mentality” ( which is episode 3 BTW) thinking exercise to determine what you could do.

@@newerest1 to most people 1x to 3x is not that big a difference and there isnt really and difference in shooting with either power except more speed with 1x Most people start to actually see a difference in accuracy and identification with 4x and greater magnification. Now with 5.56mm most people say with the limitations of the round and engagement range that 6x is they highest magnification needed to use the full capability of the round. Now when someone is given an LPVO they mostly and the majority of they time only use lost magnification to greatest magnification which means given a 1x to 6x they will go passed 2x,3x,4x,and 5x. So with my original statement a 6x magnifier is perfect because you get all the speed of a Red Dot and the accuracy of a 6x and you can also complete remove the magnifier to use in hand held configuration and lighten then gun when needed. Also you can use the Red dot with night vision with the magnifier flipped out of the way or off the rifle. We did so much testing with this at AWG, REF, and at the Maneuver Battle Lad and this combination always had the best results. Thats why Soldiers like the elcan because its just a quick flip from 1x to 4x. But most still wish it was at least 6x and a true red dot also not as heavy.

2 options, 1. Usually the mounts are reversible so it can flip to the other side for left handed shooters, 2. Go with unity mount or riser and their flip to center magnifer mount, only downside is that puts the optic and magnifier at 2.26" so you'll have a more heads up position but some people don't like that high compared to lower 1/3 or absolute cowitness

Soutpaws have it better with magnifiers. Just reverse the mount, magnifier flips to left side and the front lens stays clean as opposed to flipping to right side and just behind the ejection port.

What you may have seen in the video was the eotech and the Holosun AEMS on the same unity riser, which originally is made just for the exps series of optics, but you can fit both stated at the beginning of this comment on the same riser. And it works great dude!

its much stiffer than the ADM, the ADM mount is extremely light weight, made of titanium and has a smaller profile detach lever, it also allows for different adjustment lengths in the set screw holes, which is nice, and the flip movement is much smoother

I know I'm late to the party! But still prefer the g33 to this 1 thing that really bothered me was in a rush to flip I'd spin 1 of the adjustment knows the g33 gives you more room for that. It's a magnifier so it's still nice but not a big fan still have mine I think def gonna sell or trade it thow

Not worth it in comparison to the holosun, no Justification for the extreme price disparity , obviously I've never looked through it, but neither will have most people before buying it.
