The Bills may have messed up, but there are 27 other teams that let Worthy drop onto the Chief's lap by choosing someone else. So it wasn't just the Bills.

I think early on Worthy will struggle in press a lot of teams realized that with teams like the Dolphins that rely on vertical speed pressing the WR at the line can mess up the timing on routes but the Chiefs are also the best team in the league at scheming WRs open with misdirection and setting picks. Worthy like most WRs at his range is a little bit of a dart throw but if him and Mahomes can develop a chemistry his ceiling is legitimately scary. Ultimately though this kinda seemed like a luxury pick for the chiefs they obviously want the 3peat so they were willing to take the gamble on a super boom bust player that would have a massive impact if they hit on him
