Nice analysis as usual :) - I’ve watched Tielemans at the belgium national team sometimes and he played amazing as a regista; maybe if he joins a team that has a similar system to the one of the national team he can reach his full potential

Perhaps a move to Spurs would have been a good one. 343 is a similar set up. Chelsea might also be a good option.

@@PythagorasinBoots a move to Spurs would be the best, because since chelsea now have gallagher, they played yesterday / today against arsenal in a 4-3-3, so I am not sure if they will interchange between the typical 3-4-2-1 / 3-4-3 and the 4-3-3 of yesterday throughout the season.

Great analysis as usual!! Personally, given the talent he displayed in his Anderlecht days, I've been underwhelmed by Tielemans' career so far. Had the potential to be the best midfielder of his generation and now at 25, he's in the wilderness rather than performing on the biggest stage. Next move needs to be absolutely perfect.

Very good analysis, I think he’s a good player however if Arsenal purchase him I don’t think he will be that much of an upgrade on Xhaka however being in a better team might take Youri to the next level

Arsenal switched to a 4-3-3 toward the last half of the season with odegaard as the right 8 Partey as a 6 and xhaka as the left 8. So that should help tielemans a little being further pushed up but tielemans mostly plays on the right

Tielemans does play mostly right side hence able to get crosses in but with Odegaard and Viera being left footed and preferring to cut in - it seems likely he may be asked to play left. Be interesting to see how Arteta plays this if he does come.

I think your analysis explains why Arsenal haven't gotten him yet and are probably only going to get him for a favorable price. Better to pay less for a player who you aren't sure has hit his ceiling. If he can progress and become world class after a move then it'll be steal.

He’s a very good player, people either think he’s a God or awful. He’s got a great technique in passing and shooting but does lack pace and consistency throughout a match

So many of the points that you attributed to the footballer are actually the sample that the player is allowed to show within the team and his dynamics. A player is not just someone to box into a compendium of assignations that you fit on your mental map so you could throw random stats to it. A tactical map is the representation of a team of neutral phase, not the explanation of a system, a style, ideas or any substance. Frequency by 90 or accuracy is affected by so many things that cannot be measured by statistics... His score was 68, as if it could have been 63 or 72, because the tool kit for measuring it is so random based.

zzzz are you another one of those subjective/abstract merchants that basically don't ever bite the bullet to make a judgement call-either from feeling, research, or both? "Coulda been this, coulda been that"... It's boring just to say gazillion permutations and parameters because then one isn't being definitive with their outlook. So what would you give him? 63, 72, or something in between?

@@benjaminreina5604 The criteria is actually not random, we use our own bespoke player attributes index and put all the players through it. It takes into account player context, adaptability to different systems etc. Yes in some essence, even that is subjective as it takes an assessment of what value to give but you could end up sitting on the fence all day and never make a judgement which is a pathetic way of existence IMO.

Nice analysis but… Even if i would choose Sergej Milinkovic Savic, Partey as a DM and Unleashing him with Odegaard as double pivot behind the striker could be unmanageable by opponents… He’s not playing as a double pivot with Partey at arsenal he’s getting forward and that could be big for Arsenal

Tielemens form has dropped way below, go check stats then talk about facts. He's worse than Xhaka. Van de Beek is way better than both, ruined at Utd.
