dikembe is one of the best human beings that happened to be an NBA star off the court, but that's never talked abt you'd think he wasn't the first one to build a myriad of schools in his own continent with largely his own money, him and manute bol were the greatest in selflessness/humanitarian efforts

Dikembe Mutombo was a dominant force as a defensive anchor who was known for his shot-blocking skills, rebounding and humanitarian work. He played 18 seasons with the Denver Nuggets, Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Nets, New York Knicks and Houston Rockets. It’s just sad that he didn’t win a NBA championship during his career. 🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀

@@joemamma137David Robinson is a tier above Pat Ewing when it comes to all time greats. Pat was a great center but there’s nothing he does on the court better than the admiral
@joemamma13711 ай бұрын
@@barrekelly being in the west really inflated Robinson’s numbers. He was definitely NOT a tier above Ewing. The 90s were known for the “big 4”. And everyone knew that Shaq and Olajuwon were 1 & 2, while Ewing and Robinson were 3 & 4. Guys like mourning and Mutombo were the ones in the lower tier.
@Mister_Mass5 ай бұрын
@@joemamma137def agree here. The Admiral was a force to be reckoned with. Dude could shoot from anywhere, had post moves, power and finesse. Good defender too! As much as I enjoyed watching Ewing, David Robinson was indeed a tier above him
@joemamma1375 ай бұрын
@@Mister_Mass Robinson crushes it in the advanced stats. But he was a consistent post season choker (yeah, Ewing had his low moments too). If not for Tim Duncan, his most famous moment would be getting humiliated by Olajuwon in 95. Robinson was like the Dak Cowboys. Great at posting mind boggling stats against lower competition, but every year ended with underachievement, and post season disappointment. The 90s were known for the big 4 centers. Not the big 3. Shaq and Olajuwon were the top 2. Ewing and Robinson were the bottom 2. That was the only universal distinction between all 4 of them. Tim Duncan is more responsible for the modern day perception of David Robinson than David Robinson is. Very similar to what Terell Davis did for John Elway. Gave him 2 rings after his prime, when he was no longer his teams best player.
