#f1 #schumacher #howgood Imagine being the brother of a 7 time f1 world champion. Well Ralf Schumacher was that unlucky guy. But was he actually as quick as his brother? Find out in this video….

He is my only favorite driver in F1. In my opinion he is heavily underrated. I watched him since joining Williams in 2000 until his last season in 2007. I know what I saw in him: pure passion & devotion. To answer your question at the end, I would say a big yes, he could've won not once, but maybe 2 or 3 times the championship with that amazing Williams BMW. He was fast. It was just bad luck that the car had reliability problems at the beginning, after that I remember the darkest day of them all in Indianapolis 2004 when he crashed so bad because of a car problem & I remember his legs got stuck into the car. After that horrible episode he kept the flame alive, but sadly with Toyota he couldn't get higher than some podiums, that car was as you said way too underpowered and not reliable at all. Still, after he retired, I was pleased with his performance on Toyota. I am so sad to hear now that he had a tiny chance to make history with RedBull, I stopped caring about F1 after he retired, I have no means to disrespect Vettel, he is a legend & a very humble & kind person, but I can't stop thinking how Ralf had handled those seasons at RedBull. You can say anything about Ralf, but for me, he represents The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be. I wish I meet him one day and have a talk, everyone knows how hard is for him now because of his brother's accident, wishing all his family good health & happiness. Thank you very much for this video, it reminded me of my F1 hero, the one & only Ralf Schumacher :)

WELL SAID! My favourite driver of all time as well. A rare pick indeed but glad there are others out there who agree how awesome he was to watch.

I liked the stats at the end but it would be more interesting to compare him to other drivers through history or just those drivers who drove the whole season while Ralf was driving. Anyone who gets into F1 is an exceptional talent but seeing the average stats would be cool.

Mega underrated. Mighty fast on his day. Michael is the greatest, obviously Ralf can’t avoid being compared to his brother but he too can be proud of what he achieved in Formula One.

The biggest difference between the Schumachers was Michaels understanding and control of the politics of F1 and internally within the teams he drove for. Added to that Michael was effectively managing Ralfs career alongside his own manager. Michael never wanted a high quality driver who could and would challenge him for the teams number 1 slot, Ralf could have done that purely on skill.

I think you may have been a little harsh with Alex Zanardi, he was Indycar Champion on slicks, before moving to Williams with the Mecacrome (?) badged Renault engine on grooved tyres, which everyone else had been using for a year already. Ralf was a good driver, but I don't think that he was good enough on his bad tracks in order to accumulate enough points for a championship challenge, maybe in a Newey Williams, or Red Bull, but we'll never know.

You seem to have forgotten the Winkelhock and Fabi brothers from the 80s who occasionally competed on the same weekends.

I think Ralf deserved more than Micheal in some cases because Ralf got his star in the team his brother started in it was just that Micheal got the Ferrari Golden boy contract and they are guaranteed a good car every year it was unsure for Ralf it seems like even if Williams were a front runner they are not making road cars to keep up with the main 3 which today might come a problem for Haas Stake and Williams still

Ralf in Williams and Michael in Ferrari seems like the peak of F1. That's the time I have the fondest memories from

F1 is a lottery - you can be the best but if you don't have the best around you, you won't win... and that is the sad thing about Formula 1 - as an individualist, I would like to see driver skills winning races. Refuelling, different tire manufacturers and, with V10 and V8 engines, allowed a great driver, to win races with an intermediate, reliable team.

Not better, but definitely good enough. Better than Damon Hill for sure. In a detuned Jordan still gave posterboy Hill a run and a half for his money in wet conditions

Mediocre, got beat by 2nd rate drivers. On the current grid the RB, merc and Ferrari drivers + alonso + Ocon + gasly are better

Ralf beat Button, Montoya and Trulli over at least 1 season. On his day, everyone knows Ralf was super quick. Trulli beat Alonso in 2004.
@K0BRAH9511 ай бұрын
@@ciaronsmith4995 he beat jb cuz jb was making lots of rookie errors, ralf is kinda quick but even by tier 2 standards he isn’t the best. No offence bro but U love using alonso in 2004 cuz there’s pretty much no other blemish on his career, it’s clear by ur channel u hate alonso, I understand why cuz he’s twice the driver kimi is and beat him in the same car
@ciaronsmith499511 ай бұрын
@@K0BRAH95 You said he's mediocre. Which Ralf isn't!. You probably didn't even watch F1 98-2003!
@ciaronsmith499511 ай бұрын
@@K0BRAH95 Kimi at his peak was unquestionably quicker than Alonso. Everyone knows this "bro". Alonso got lucky in 2014 because of the circumstances and the fact Kimi was in a car opposite to his driving style, built for Alonso's driving style, given Alonso had been there for 5 years. Cheers.

You cannot win a race and be mediocre by the averages, based on the average F1 driver looking at every driver who has competed, the average driver is not a race winner statistically speaking never mind 6 wins.
