Having GREAT AIM, especially if you get it at a LOW LEVEL, can cause you to develop some habits that will prevent you from ranking up to the highest ranks. Hitting headshots and out-aiming your opponents will always help you, but if you want to go from Silver to Global Elite or Faceit 10, you'll need more than that.

Even pros do this, especially someone like Grim but on ct sides. He will often wide swing into 3 opponents, kill one and get instantly traded. He probably developed this issue in the early days where he would probably get all 3 because his mechanics are ridiculous. But against tier 1 it just doesnt work.

Not just strategy but personal peeks and personal decision making. It's just god awful. Whenever the MM system decides to que me and my friends up against LEMS or LEs, or even DMGs ( we are all global ), it's so clear that they dont necessarily shoot horribly but they make peeks and decisions and hold angles that make them EASY targets compared to even your average global.

best example of this is a deaf guy I used to play with - he was around lvl 4-5 faceit and used to be able to 100 kills in aim_botz in 45-50 seconds. We used to watch him as he clutched and if the enemy peeked into him he'd win 90% of duels. However there were countless times where the enemy would make noise, or pull the pin on a flash or even start spraying at the guy and he'd just be shiftwalking around completely oblivious while we're all desperately trying to type info to him. No joke if this guy could hear he could be 3000 elo - we once played a 10-man on our discord where we turned our game sound off and he got like 35 kills against mostly lvl 8-10 players.

this is why when I play with my friends i use a deag only account. I have terrible util usage so i use this account(which is currently LE while my main is at LEM/supreme) to work on util and deagling... it has helped substantially at my confidence in eco rounds and a little bit to my util but i think the util will only come once my aim isnt enough to outfrag people which I still havent reached yet but I know will come soon... atleast when I start on faceit... I queue with a global stack occasionally and even in full global games i just aggressively push and will normally top frag. but this is south africa so our globals are just lems who have played more games.

Had the same problem: I was developing my aim so ahead of my initial elo, that I basically could win stupid engagements by just relying on my far superior aim. Soon as I hit around 2.5k elo I was getting shut down basically every round, because my gunfights that I took against these players were just disadvantageous and barely thought through. Took a lot of work to actually have a somewhat decent idea of what fight to take in which situation and I am still in the learning process of it.

Good philosophy. Underestimating your opponents is the quickest way to lose a game. You can be up by so much but you start taking unnecessary risks or making dumb plays and you get tilted, and things spiral out of control from there. People turn off their brains for their aim routine but never remember to turn it back on.

This might be pretty basic idea, but I see so many people struggling with it in lower ranks: the thing about CS is to feel the momentum - there are times you need to slow down, there are times you need to speed up. I can't count how many times me or some of my teammates extended too much when taking a BS when after initial clear you should just find a spot and camp there and keep enemy guessing. On the other side: a guy is getting entry for a team and rest of the team is still walking silent or stops being only partially flashed = wasted opportunity. Similarly: you were hiding in a nice spot, but someone saw you? No reason to stay silent any more - change the position instead of waiting for nades or repeeking into your opponent's crosshair.

OMG THANK YOU! The thing I find the most frustrating is when people don't understand momentum. Like if you get an entry to a site you start running in because at that point 3/4, if not all, enemy players will start to rotate to that site but nah...these guys will just keep shifting and wait for the whole enemy team to rotate AND push in when all the smokes have disappeared and we've lost the advantage on that site. Also hate people who clear the opposite site of where the bomb currently is and are all proud thinking they made a play and screaming "A CLEAR, A CLEAR! WHERE TF ARE YOU?!" Like yeah, no shit, of course it's clear because the bomb is at B. Trading is also a completely foreign concept to most LE-SMFC players.

Although sometimes it does feel like I get insta tapped while they whiff my teammates so much.

As someone doing this on faceit lvl 10 I really struggle with the "keep your gun out" concept, where I in many situations just don't want to pull out utility that could have made the situation easier for me/harder for enemy because I don't want the enemy to get the drop on me. Often dying with around 360$ of utility both CT and T sides. Although the CT side has more to do with not throwing utility out too early, which still results in a similar outcome. Not to mention that I do overextend in many situations just like Fala. All In all great video voo! Although I did realize I relied on my aim too much before, this helped me realize that my gameplay really is sub-optimal for someone on lvl 10 and really hammered it home.

I‘m 2,2k elo on gamesense alone. It‘s easy for me to outsmart lvl 10 players with timings and positioning. Put me into a mirage mm against five lem kids pressing w and shooting heads and I have a really hard time, though.

infuriating to play against these people in low ranks, they move like bots making them hard to spray/running spray at you and hit stray headshots and sit in unintentional off angles.

Hello Voo I am a level 7-9 Face it player I feel that my game sense is a solid level seven my teamwork is like a level 9 to 10 but then my aim is a level five ice tried to do aiming regimens they help obviously that’s not my issue I feel as if my role as a support/rifler because that’s what I’m most comfortable with with experience that I’m not doing enough even though I have plenty of trades and flashes and smokes etc. how come I feel that even though I am supporting well I am not doing enough because I feel I have to take charge 80% of the time even though I’m not the best aimer/entry Fragger

This is why I'm so trash at most fps games I think I have really good aim but I always over commit and never jiggle peak or any of that, I just don't know how to play a little more passive, I always go for risky peaks I don't hold angles for more than 2 seconds and getting overwhelmed is a common occurrence. I have basically no strategy except praying every bullet I shoot connects and I don't even know where to start with my overconfidents.

This was an awesome video, thanks voo. I've seen numerous times that I can practice aim all I want, but it doesn't get me any further. I know I play too aggressive and I don't rotate or change positions enough, and that's why I keep losing my games, so sometimes just someone telling you that can help. I believe this is also why I tend to win on rounds where we lose the entry frag, and I'm forced to play slower, and to stop and think about the plays before I can continue. His play actually reminds me of a round I played a while ago that I wasn't supposed to win, but ended up taking an ace, including a 1v4 clutch: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hMeIadKWzbDdcoU.html I believe I wasn't supposed to win this, and the correct play would have been to rotate mid or Tspawn or SOMETHING after the second kill, but I kept pushing and while it worked, it might have been a stupid play, with a much higher chance of just stuffing it up.

This is exactly my MM experience. There are people who are ok overall, but then there are those people that will win a duel against me 100% of the time, yet I am usually able to beat them because I never have to take a straight up duel against them. Interesting part is this is not just a cs thing. LoL game that I was semi pro at has the same exact players. Bonehead mechanical wizards who do everything wrong but somehow it works out for them.

I think what he meant its that great aim creates some sort of overconfident, and made the player to be very aggressive, as peaking fights became their go to weapon instead of taking advantages of the angles. I won't say they are careless, its just that their playstyle its a bit too reckless in many situations.

@@JDMvids1105 yeaa... Like to be very honest, im dat one guy just like in the video, im was hardstucked on mge, team play wasn't an option, the only way to win its aggressively push for one vs one fights to clutch and rely a lot on pure aim with some pop flashes, in a long run it slowly became a habbit and an inefficient playstyle as it was mentioned in the video, killing few peoples isnt a way to win once you died, when the team rely on only one person to hard carry. Nowadays i stop gaming like i was used to, i dont have the ability to fight like last time and has to fight with positioning and angles, yet the eager to peak fights still remains.
