In the relationship panel, you can click on a mini-animal and select "focus camera on". Helps in finding them, as they always disappear into the Ether... Plus, locking the gates is super glitchy, so they end up everywhere anyway! You can also call them over to eat from an animal feeder. (You can also buy mini-animals from the feeder)

I wish that EA would free the cows and llamas from their barns. If horses can be free so can the cows and llamas. They can easily use the same beds as the horses.

My neighbor was illegally harboring an ostrich. 😅 best part is we legitimately live on the beach in Florida.....so I'm not entirely sure where or why with the Ostrich. I however learned they make some BIZARRE noises 😅

If anyone is planning to do this challenge, and isn't already aware, you can lock doors & gates to limit movement of a lot of the animals to keep things more organized. ALSO you can use the horse troughs to feed the mini goats/sheep

They will also eat the horseranch grass (forgot the name) if you place enough around you never have to buy feed. Same for the horse

Haven't even watched yet and I'm laughing my ass off. I've tried this. Homie Sim NEVER gets to leave the house for anything😆someone always needs care, whether it's me or the critters! I've learned to space my animals out if I ever want to go to the park for an afternoon and I'll be honest when I say as much as I adore the mini sheepies...they're pains in my ass. NEVER stay home!! I may be about done with them, pretty sick of chasing them down at neighbors houses. I just want to really know why EA didn't think to include cats & dogs stuff with the horses. No treats, no vet treatments or accommodations ONE horse blanket....I mean come ON EA!! $40 fkng dollars!!!!

I completely agree. I felt mean at first to put my mini sheep in a fenced-in enclosure but the alternative is that they skip off to the furthest part of the neighbourhood and starve themselves until they run away. I do wish there was some recipe or something for horse treats, rather than just hoping you might find one in the prairie grass

My favourite thing to do with the mini goats is to get a bunch of them, make a club of NPC's where the activity is animal care, and watch them get attacked constantly, lol.

I think that Whiny should have a small garden so she can have a variety of gifts for the birds and rabbits. Nothing to big just a few planters in the house, some carrots for the rabbits, and maybe some assorted flowers, fruit, and vegetables. But then again the plant programming has been messed up for a while now. I haven't been able to grow anything in my greenhouse. Maxis even messed that up. Major LOL.

This is basically how I’ve been playing lol. To find your sheep and goats it really helps to go into your friends thing and focus the camera on whatever animal you’re looking for. That way you don’t have to keep looking for them.

There's a friendly treat that is sold at the Henford market. It allows the caregiver to get better relationships with the animals faster. Also, once purchased and used, the sim learns how to make the treat in the kitchen.

I literally do this almost every time I play because I have this many animals on real life. I'm a farmer and a dog lover with like 20 dogs several cats rodents, rabbits, fish, cows, chickens, goats, horses, pigs, sheep, ducks, and all kinds of farm animals lol so I literally have more animals in real life than I'm even allowed to have in the game lol and I always have as many animals as possible, usually more than one of each one and its literally extremely easy for because I take priority in taking care of them

If you would like to control your dog and cat but still let the cat and dog control themselfs there is a little mod that you can download to control your cat and dogs and lets you see their needs and press on their toys and litter trays and everything else that comes with owning cats and dogs and it makes owning them so much easier. Because when they meow or woof and you have no idea what they want or why they are making those noises all you have to do is press on the little profile like you do with the Sims and just see their needs and know what they want without struggling

This was a fun one to watch lol, for me personally I'd lock out all the farm animals from coming into my house...the dog and cat are fine indoors, the raccoon and fox are best outside, but you gotta watch foxes with chickens and bunnies they'll eat them., so locking them out of the pens is also a good idea. On my ranch in the game, I have one sim and she takes care of her horse and its foal which was just born, as well as two sheep, four hens and a rooster...she also collects nectar from cutting prairie grass ROFL...and we both have mad respect for what you pulled off in this video. 😀

Do you think you'll be doing the Upgrowth or Grassroots challenge? I'm currently doing the Upgrowth challenge and I'm in the second generation. In the first gen, the mom died after giving birth to her 3 daughter. She had no sons so the oldest inherited the home with her husband. Her sisters were sent off to marry some other guys and now she's pregnant with her first son. Hopefully she survives the birthing!!

I like this video. Your videos often inspire ideas for my own play throughs, but I always put my own twist on things. My favorite thing in Sims 4 is the animals and gardening. So, I created a similar set up like yours, but the smaller animals really annoy me. They demand so much attention, even just after I gave them attention. So, I only got my favorite one (Whiskers) and I replaced the time I would spend with the other three, with attention to gardening. Gardening helps provide food for my Sim, some extra income and supplies gifts for the animals. I can also make treats. I don't have the horse expansion yet. But I left space for when I get it. I hope it's big enough. I have enough length, but I don't know if I have enough width. How big of a space do you need for horses?

I am not good at caring for chicken but i find them kind of cute. if you let them roam around free they always watch what you are doing. my sim was into wellness so they watched me all the time meditating. just like other animals wondering what the f..k their human is doing.

Its not that its hard to maintain the animals needs. It's hard to actually try to accomplish anything with those animals, while maintain their needs. Training the dogs, goats, sheep, horse, then curbing the behavior of the raccoon and cat. Improving the yields of cow, chickens, lama, birds, and rabbits. Possibly using the relationship of birds, rabbits, goats, and sheep for gardening. Then giving your sim a life outside of that. Using the animals actual gameplay vs just surviving. I feel its the same with gardening, but your plants will actually die. Animals give you a low needs warning, worse case they will be taken away, and they aren't dependent on season.

Lmao horse in the house, mine followed my Sim into the bathroom, I now lock the door, but seriously funny to see! 🤣 I have a Sim who wants to be friends with rabbits etc and this video is helping me with tips, I didn't know you could gift the wool and milk to them, that's really cool, can't wait until I can move that Sim out and give her lots of animals to have fun with! 😊 Aww well done, you've been amazing looking after them all! 🥳 It's been fun to watch! 😊🥰
