How hard is a Big 4 audit grad scheme? 👿 THE DIFFICULTY SPECTRUM

Hi there everyone ✌🏻
In today's video I try and give an idea of how tough it is to cope with the intensity of a Big 4 audit graduate scheme!
Through the use of a high-tech bar chat I compare the scheme to the difficulty of GCSEs, A Levels and my Economics degree 😰

Another great video Matt! Really enjoying these insights into life as a big 4 audit grad. One quick question: as you only work on 1 audit at a time, do you only tend to work on 1 task at a time (such as sifting through bank statements)? If work is set by the field manager, do you only take on task 2 once you’ve finished task 1? Or can you get multiple pieces with multiple deadlines??

Also, can you get set different tasks and pieces of work from different people, or does it typically come from the one field manager? Do you have to juggle different tasks set by different people, or is the field manager the only one who sets work (and therefore is aware of your availability)

@@toms598 Hi Tom - Thanks for the question. Typically as a First Year things will be spoonfed to you, so it'll be a case of getting one task from one field manager and when you've finished that piece of work, you'll run through the output the field manager then move on to something else and cycle continues.. Hope that helps

Overall I agree although I found the degree much easier than grad scheme only because with a degree you get proper breaks throughout the year whereas big 4 you get 4 weeks only so tended to get burnt out

The general view I see is that it is not hard but it is tedious with a high attrition rate
