When the reporters visited them they tried to open a safe of the „cake tin mafia“, needless to say despite the boss claiming that they would open it very quick they worked for more than five hours and still hadn’t managed to get into it when the reporters decided to leave as the mood was getting bad lol. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hryYjMt9tpq9Zmg.html If you buy good safes or locks they will be very difficulty to open, if you buy cheap crap or stuff that is first and foremost only meant to protect documents from fire or water then of course it will suck.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it but safes are meant to be attached to something. So one would have to work with the space and angle constraints of the installation. No safe is totaly secure it can only slow people down. half the battle is not only how secure the safe is it's how heavy it is to move, how it is fixed to an imovable object (concrete floor/Brick wall) and how awkward it is to get at with tools.
@sirmayhen8307
@sirmayhen8307 3 жыл бұрын
@@wakey87 I was about to say the same thing he only tested for safes and a gun lock box which was the first one the first one is only meant to keep little fingers off of a handgun and any safe in time you'll get into in due time safes are only supposed to slow criminals down because they want to get in and out they don't want to sit there for even four minutes trying to get a safe open that's why they're meant to be bolted down and as of the last safe the Lock pins made of aluminum are meant to bend and disform to make it more hard to get into and the reason why the door didn't come off is because there's a kicker plate on the back of the hinge plate

I think the second and the third safes had some disadvantage. First of all, you had the ability to inspect the inside of them. Without it I'm pretty sure, it would take much more time to locate the weakspots, and destroy them. Also you had the advantage to move them around as you pleased. I think if these would be mounted into a wall that could be a different story. Also I think if people want to keep something safe, they wouldn't put their really valuable stuff into an Amazon Basic stuff. I mean,these safes can be good for like keeping your firearms safe from your children or something, but nothing more.

Actually there's a very good reason for that Sentry safe to have aluminum locking pins. Aluminum has a higher thermal expansion rate than steel, so the pins will expand into the steel in case of a fire, making it seal shut tighter. Fire safes really are theft protection second, fireproofing first.

That table is actually used in the military at camps and stuff. It's from a company called Lifeline. I have one, they're nice.

He would have a lot more success with that hammer if he used a more sturdy table. A table with less give in it will absorb a lot more of the impact.

LockPickingLawyer sips redbull and chuckles. Opens all 5 safes while Tyler does his sponsor portion. Importantly, what we have learned here, is if you bolt your safe down it's even LESS secure because it would take the full brunt of a hammer impact. They should start making safe hinges out of the material the table is made of.

Okay yeah a loose safe where your free to move it anyway you please to get leverage, not impressed...now try a real world scenario where the safe is bolted to cement, encased in cement, or mounted in a wall thats reinforced where the only thing thats showing is the door. You say its not worth it for $180.00 but if thats in someones house and is properly installed what idiot is going to spend 20 minutes making all that noise to get into a safe. I think it did its job for that price. Also you had the ability to inspect the inside of the safe before hand, you knew where the weld spots were and the hinge maybe next time try to do it without knowing all of that.

You need a more solid base to clobber things on. The bounce in the table absorbs so much of the force whenever you smash things. Large heavy stump/anvil on base bolted to the floor. Just a thought. Love your videos

I recently purchased a sentry safe similar to the last one you worked on. I was a little worried about that outside hinge myself until I saw the lip inside that runs 3/4 the length of the door, even if you remove the hinge, it is still secured. I’m okay with it.

My godmother's brother died some years ago, and my godmother asked me to help her with all of his stuff. We did a lot of cleaning, organizing, dumping and stuff... Among his possessions was a safe very similar to the Amazon Basics safe your video started with. My godmother said she and her friends could not open it and she never found a key or code for it. Now, I AM a very big and strong man and I literally train for strongman. I told her I could take a look at it, and as soon as she handed it over to me, I noticed it felt kinda flimsy... So I just grabbed a hold of it and literally ripped it open. I twisted some metal part holding it shut and literally destroyed the damn thing. I immediately handed it back and said "yeah, got it". I loved the look she had on her face... Inside of the box were important documents, including bank stuff my godmother actually really needed to find!

Word to the wise, Safes mainly buy comfort. "A safe only buys you time" if a "bad guy" were going after it in someones home. Most can easily be gotten into. I may have a safe, but i would never trust the safe to keep something safe over an extended amount of time.

I used to sell gun safes for Cabela’s. The highest end gun safe safe any big box store sells has the same UL security rating as the cheapest- “residential security container” designed to resist one man with a 3 foot pry bar and a 1 pound claw hammer hammer for 5 minutes. Those are the only tools allowed for that test. You can get in faster just cutting the side off with a circular saw. Safes are the illusion of security. If bad guys know where your stuff is and they have an hour or two, they will get it. Best to not let anyone know you have anything good, and make it difficult to find.
