I worked in Dubai from 1997 to 2000. I have witnessed the transformation from a plain desert to world popular known. I can’t live there but I can afford just for a holiday !

@@Adriventure_rod From June 9, 1833, Dubai has been ruled by The Maktoum Dynasty - a branch of The Bani Yas tribe that settled in the area by 1822. Previous rulers of the vicinity existed before late spring of 1833. But unlike The Maktoums, none of those predecessors created the 189-year-old institution that laid the foundation for current-day Dubai.
