Do the different quant roles (dev, trader, research) have cooldown periods? Is it better to apply as often as you can like with big tech or to only apply when you feel prepared?

jane street is such a liar. Although they seem to be very welcoming and say" just feel free to apply", the reality is I cant get through their resume screening !

they hire only from the best college of some countries. Also, they hire on the basis of all these olympiads. Olympiad opportunities expire after school for most, but in the US, after college.
