I LOVE your building content. I’ve taken a lot of tips from you and it’s really spiced up my bases! I think it would be cool if you built a sky ship base at the top of the world

I tried this yesterday; here is a set of steps I used to get high at a decent rate without wasting any resources (by the way, I did this at the top of the north "pillar of creation" above the volcanic vent) - I stack 5 scaffolding, - placed an alter, - stack five more, - repeat until you run out of alters, - "pick up" the scaffolding, and take every alter and platform along the way - Fall, and teleport back to the first alter (might take a few tries for other alters to despawn if they are stacked directly on top of each-other) *fyi, you can teleport in midair, as long as you aren't gliding, or colliding with the ground repeat every step until you reach the top of the world

Yeah I figured you can teleport midair after my first fall to the ground 😂. Your method definitely works though not sure if the teleportation after each fall would end up making it longer. Curious, how long did it take you to reach the top?

@@pseudoposse maybe half an hour or so. teleporting is neccessary with this method, because you are taking out everything under the highest shrine, so there is no other way to make it back. even so, ladders aren't the quickest form of transportation, teleporting 25 floors (with 5 shrines) is quicker than climbing

I didn't do the stair method. I just climbed the various mountain peaks and stuck an altar on top. Double jump and a few pick axes for the win.

i did this myself. though admittedly not as high. i started building a floating mage tower above the pillars of creation so i have that insta access (long glides) anywhere on the map. great vid always love the content

You don't necessarily need to go as high to achieve a great glide distance. But combined with good food buffs, you can easily glide for a long time. And that is without even perking into lots of stamina skills or wearing the right armor. Glad you liked the vid :)

90 minutes was considerably faster than my scaffold stacking method! I timed a fall from the top and it takes almost 90 seconds to hit the ground. It's high enough that you can deplete stamina gliding, "sit" in midair to replenish it fully, and keep gliding. I built my sky platform by the starter base location and I can almost make it to the eastern most edge of the map with the 2nd to last glider. I think building a platform in the center of the map by the pillars of creation would be a fun and efficient way to reach any point in the map

Yeah I've thought about relocating to the center so you could reach everywhere. Though I might keep my current spot as I think it is situated to be within reach of new areas added to the game in future updates :)

I've noticed you will also hit an invisible "border" if you happen to go above an area you normally can't build around. Such as an ancient obelisk or one of those faux black castles. Nice video!

Yeah the invisible borders seem to be in the places you've mentioned. Fortunately, most of the world doesn't have restrictions which is nice. Thanks!

I didnt like valheim because i never enjoyed the combat. This game has it all and man the building in this game is incredible. This game is so awesome when it comes to creativity. My next project is adding rocks to a cliff and making a bridge off my main plot of land. Hope it goes the way im thinking.

Yes it is awesome. I do hope they do not go down the route of harder gate keeping bosses and raids as I really enjoy the chill environment and creativity. I did finish Elden Ring and Dark souls but damn it was so stressful. Those games have their niche but so do games like this.

Damn that is high. I suffer vertigo in games so that is a no for me. Once built a bridge over the red river and I was very nervous LOL. Well done subbed.

Haha absolutely! That would be lots of fun. I've got some ideas swirling around based on several comments but I think it will require some materials I don't have access to yet. My progress has been stalled for a while since I've been building 😂

I fell to the bottom of the world because of a mis angled rake. It's a plane of complete white, with some bottom of mountains showing.

I only thought of doing this to get over an annoying mountain early game, to get aroudn red shroud that was above my level... but now I wanna build a floating Island base in the middle of the map. Maybe not all the way up, but def taller than the fast travel towers.

It baffles me with that all that half platform saving some wood it did not occur to you to use 2m stairs instead of 4 to half the cost all together xD

Haha it absolutely did occur to me, but I decided at the beginning it would likely increase my chances of falling 🤣. Plus I would have to click twice to reach equivalent height!

I found a glitch to get your stamina back while you fall so getting to build height is even better

All you do is spam attack while you fall with a weapon and eventually you begin to get stamina back. If you stop spamming your regen stops. If your regen is buffed while you spam, it increases very fast

Convinced me I just want to place all my altars in the middle of the map and build a city. LOL I was going to build a permanent spire to reach the top, but it's a touch anti'climactic.
