It would be cool if you could keep the oysters in a fish tank at home and when the oysters die of old age they leave you beautiful pearls to remember them by

I have 3 Honroa pearl sets which would be the necklace, bracelet and earrings, pink, white and black , 2 other necklaces that have different shapes and 3 sets of different size earrings..they are loved..and will.be passed down to my grandkids.. pearls in my heart will always be better than diamonds..

Meiji....I agree with you on that.... Farm Girl.....if you want to know what are The most expensive type of pearls then that would be the Wild Salt water pearls.....THOSE ARE TOTALLY EXPENSIVE AND NOT ONLY EXPENSIVE BUT RARE.....the oysters that grow wild in the sea are in danger of being extinct and the human's need for pearls (be it fresh water or salt water) has only increased.....what do you do in that case? Because the the pearl has been recognised for it's beauty even long before now.....you should know that even if you (in general) try to stop or pass a law to ban this, people will still find ways to smuggle it because the ones who get the pearls live by selling the pearls.....so it's not right to think one sidedly.....you don't know how hard the pearl farmers need to work.....and also yes I understand that we hurt the oysters but if we save the oysters we put the people who live by it in danger of starving.......
