Right on - Thank you! That's exactly what I was going for... I remember being a beginner and learning to correct mistakes is part of that growth - my hope is that by showing my errors and how I fixed them that a newbie won't be as intimidated as I was.

Seriously good video. Though the background music, with all the popping, does get a little bit annoying about 5 minutes in. Definitely would not have complained if that changed up to something different every now and then. That said, really love seeing both the mistakes and how you fixed them and everything. That is seriously great work! Keep it up :D

Oh sick, this is the one im printing now, very cool to see the outcome of the orange (mistake) you made, because that's exactly what I was going to do.... lol, I wanted to go for a darker yellow instead of that bright yellow, but after looking at this, I may just stick with the original yellow color.... thanks for the video, let me know if you happen to do the Archangel

right on - I love knowing that I helped... at least I saved you from spending a couple hours going in the wrong direction! I did some research and using a pink-ish base color instead of orange should give you a better shadow effect - hope that helps! :)

I've never used clear resin myself, but I have read a few different places that curing clear parts in water greatly helps prevent the yellowing, having to do with the amount of oxygen in water vs open air.

Do you have any guidance on LEDs? Good videos to watch or what to buy? Here you had LEDs, wires, and a a battery pack - did they come pre wired, or did you have to solder?@@statue_forge

Wow amazing work. The only thing I would suggest. When you come across something like the zipper thing again then sent it aside. Then when you are done. Ask yourself, is it really worth it? Are you even going to notice it when you place it in it's final location? Then save yourself the extra frustration and let it go. You do commission leave work. You are an artist and you do great work. Congratulations on your final work.

Very nice job! This is why I never glue anything until I'm 100% done lol. Also, what resin do you use for printing? Seems a bit fragile.

Thanks! - I use Anycubic Eco resin... it's not overly fragile, I was just ham-fisted with this build lol. I should have moved more cautiously... those zipper pulls were REALLY tiny - but such a cool detail

i wonder why they didnt move the seam at the neck down to where it can be "naturally hidden". that belt collar would have worked perfect

lol - a whole lot of sanding... OH and trimming the keys down a little - I've found that the resin swells a bit in the keyholes, so trimming down the keys prevents them from hitting the bottom. Hope that helps!

Did you print the laserbeam in a clear red resin? I'm printing in PLA, since I don't own a resin printer, and at the moment I only have clear PLA, not red lol, so well see how that comes out.... any advice?

I printed it with Anycubic Clear resin and then used alcohol ink to tint - I'd imagine the same technique would work on any clear-ish material though

at the very least export your vids as 1080p? idk... 720 just looks bad in my screen unfortunately. but well done on the painting I like it.

Is it normal to have such large gaps where the pieces fit together with resin printing? Is that possible to be fixed before printing in order to prevent such large gaps?

yes, the gaps can be mitigated some depending on the print orientation... I tend to print the flat sides down so that the visible surface doesn't have as many support marks to sand - but that leads to a bit more pull and warping sometimes where the flat edges meet. I'd rather fix a flat edge than have to try to fix details - though in this case, it was a bit of both. Hope that helps!
