Glad to hear you were okay man. Coincidentally, I also had a cardiac incident as a new grad (in the ICU) during October 2020. I got shocked while giving chest compressions during a poorly managed code at shift change. The nurse manning the dfib discharged the machine without an indication or order to shock while the RT and I were still in contact with the patient. Luckily, the device that measures chest compression rate/depth was insulated and the bed was grounded, apparently. I had my knee up against the bed and felt the shock travel up my leg and into my abdomen, but not my chest. After the code, I had to argue with the nursing/house supervisor to be allowed to go down to the ER for an EKG. I had no rhythm changes aside from a few PVCs, but the RT had a cardiac history and had to be sent home. I filed an incident report, but no one from management followed up with me until I received a bill from the ER and complained. 😂 I left to travel a few months later.

Some are great managers and orhers do not. I had an allergic reaction to latex and I got written up.

So what happened with your manager, did she end up writing you up? Did you quit there after that? I hope so!
