Btw for the physics part, you can do the manual animation trick on on/off mode as well, when you want to turn off your model's physics select all -> physics OFF. this makes the physics bones animateable! After the hard part is done you can select them and press physics on again to turn physics on

oh, so the "blocking" term they called is actually called Straight Ahead Action and Pose to Pose in animation terminologies(one of the principles in animation). I've been an animator for more than 10yrs but I'm new to this software so your steps were very great. I'm using toon boom harmony to animate the series I'm working on right now so I've never animated 3D before. Using curves really helps the animation to be smooth. That's called ease-in and ease-out. The S curve practically just combines the ease in and ease out principle.

Hello Jaizy! Great video as usual, really helped me visualize how it all worked. I wanted to ask how you did the background/scene. Did you edit the background in a video editor or did you straight up create/import one into the MMD application? I saw you created some videos with genshin backgrounds so I wanted to try to add them to my animations as well. I’m still a newbie when it comes to MMD, I feel like your creations have really motivated me to continue exploring this, they’re so high quality and amazing! Thank you!

Thanks for the great video and tips! I just wish MMD`s pose functions were even a tenth as good as Clip Studios, since you can get natural looking poses in minutes using that. Just not sure if you can export the pose data created in Clip Studio to be usable in MMD (I`m sure there is some software that will do it, but I couldn`t find any information about this). Also, great tip about saving poses whenever you see something that you like. So much easier to adapt an existing pose than to start from fresh each time!

Hello Jaizy, thanks for a really great tutorials for MMD :) I have a question regarding the background. When you use the greenscreen pmx for the background, I can see that you have 2 materials in it which contains the floor and the wall. But, in my case, its just contain one material which covered both wall and the floor. When I use Tex for this material, the png I use covered both wall and the floor. How I separate them like yours in the video? thank you.

I have used MMD for a few years and only ever animated like 3 times from scratch, I still don't understand the interpolation curve but I want to make dances. As of now I only make pictures because animation frustrates me and my own models are always not good enough to showcase in animation. I have a high end computer now and I did try making a dance a few months ago but gave up, I am going to try animation again. Thank you for the tutorial. I will keep rewatching until I understand.

Frustration is part of learning ^^ Trust me, this cost me a ton of head scratches, screaming and mental breakdowns because I couldn't understand or couldn't animate better, the way I want it to and just entirely believed I'm stupid HAHA but trust the process ^^ have patience for yourself because you're still learning (even if you're no longer a beginner as well) Good luck!
