Because Flying Fortress doesn't work, not even all thatcclose. Maybe it pops the first layer earlier but M.A.D quickly overtakes it due to the M.A.D ability he can use mid-round.

The first challenge is a lot easier to beat than what you did. You just place a 402 boomer to pop all the leads until they stop coming and then place a 510 ninja to deal with everything else
