Hard pokemon fan games are everywhere these days but i think i might have found the hardest one in existence in Grueling Gold! With insane team comps and boss battles that will make you sweat. So let's see if i can take it on myself!

For those of you wanting to play this, it does not require an emulator. It is it's own game being an .exe file. So unfortunately you can't patch it onto your 3DS family system

@Blaze-cr2iu I think you can play it on android, but it's not through emulation. Again, it's its own game. Like Insurgence or Daybreak

OKAY: To anyone commenting here asking if you can play it on pc or Android... YES. Literally, any pc that can play rpg maker games and similar. If it can play insurgence or xenoverse, it can play Grueling Gold. It's not rom hack. So you can patch it onto a 3DS family system. You can not play it on an emulator. You can not play it on GBA

Normal difficulty seems to be roughly at the level where a normal romhack with difficulty options would put its highest difficulty setting. I guess the name of this rom hack isn't lying about what the expert mode will be like 😂

I would love seeing you play Pokemon Tectonic (formerly Project Chasm) it's almost unheard of unfortunately. It has regional forms, a completely new battle system, new abilities and moves, evolutions for mons with megas/dynamax, etc. It the perfect difficulty as well with the level cap! Note: The website download is outdated as of now, but due to the Relic Castle situation the download is on the discord.

People will find a way to post more. Nintendo can’t keep them down forever. They seem to strangely attacked Pokémon fan stuff every few years. This is just a setback. True, a big one but just a setback.

I enjoy your videos. They're well made and really I enjoy your commentary. I find them entertaining. One bit that cracked me up in this is when you said you took down "the fat cow". (Not sure if it was intentional lol) but in the you UK where im from, calling some a cow especially a fat cow is quiet insulting 😂. Dont worry I found it funny

Just want to say screw grueling gold. People compared it to radical red saying its the same thing. It's not not even close in difficulty comparison. The first gym shouldn't have weakness immunity to make the game hard. Weakness immunity + level cap + cant use items is ridiculous. Radical red was difficult but it was fair. Here we have falkner with all of his pokemon having berry juice and spamming roost to heal. While your pokemon can do no such thing damage wise because suprise suprise typing advantages are out the window. I just wish there was another johto hack with all pokemon from gen1-9 this is the only one and it really bums me out because it's not fun to play after the 90th time on the first gym. And before people say "it's a difficulty hack its supposed to be hard" So is radical red but that game actually gives you a chance. All in all if your not a pokemon pro that studied pokemon games night and day to know everything about it then you wont have ANY fun playing this.

There is honestly a big difference between something challenging but fair, and something that just tries to screw you over with no reason, Kaizo style. This just tries to screw you over and gives you no tools to work with.

Weakness immunity seems a fairly lame addition, especially for the first gym. What's the point of adding that into the game (essentially removing a core system of the game itself) when you just avoid giving the player powerful anti flying type options before obtaining the first gym battle? Might as well just give Falkner all the legendary birds if you want to just make things difficult for difficulty's sake.

does anyone else here wish radical red had a NUZLOCKE OPTION, that game is near perfect , but I just can't play nuzlocke without it being programmed in, it's just not immersive enough for me to want to "pretend like my mons are dead". I just end up caving in using them anyways because "who's watching".Please can we rally the creator to implement a nuzloke mode!!!

I dont get that euphoria, the difficulty just frustrates me. The only reason I play RR or other difficulty hacks is the full dex and so general changes.
