Idk some of the shots did look fishy. And I saw people in that thread defending the, who is known to be one of the worst cheaters/exploiters/ban-evaders/toxic-griefers in the community. So I take the sponge defenders with a grain of salt. Especially considering crud was there in that same thread. Crud is also one of the worst in the community.

Yeah we did practice the format a little beforehand. It's simpler to just ignore mast and take the easy island waves. Adjusting sail and wheel just takes time away from better managing your ship and when you're forced to stay in calm waters there is minimal added advantage for cannon to have your ship moving. Around the time in the last fight where I got the rekill on Nessie I actually made an error in dropping sail thinking I could surprise them and get around them, but it ended up just creating more work for me and giving them easy snipes.

@@massivesponge Yeah, stopping near the island was one of my goals. Another was trying to make sure our boat was farther west of yours so in the scenario where the fight is long and drawn out, our ship would keep island waves for longer as the boats would gradually drift east. But that was a little harder to control since it mostly depended on where you guys got chopped. I did pull my ship farther west with the harpoon in a couple of the matches tho.
