The Christensen family never considered themselves "natural missionaries" with innate gifts that make sharing the gospel easy.
Over time, they set aside the thoughts and ways of man and worked hard to understand God's ways of sharing the gospel. They knew what God told Isaiah: "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways" (Isaiah 55:8-9).
In this fireside, Clayton Christensen shares the experiences he and his family had in which they learned the principles in Everyday Missionaries, which we believe mirror the mind and the ways of God.
This community simply offers a witness that being a member missionary can be a source of deep happiness and is a joy all of us can learn.
Your example counts, no matter the outcome. Share a story and inspire someone!

What a great man (and missionary) we lost recently, when Br. C died. He was a prime exemplar of patience & long-suffering, meekness & humility. He set a wonderful example for us to follow. I'm sure he is being well-used now on the other side of the veil. I truly hope to be able to meet him there, some day.

This is classic Clay! Can’t thank this man enough for all he has done in his life. The value of his theories in the corporate world are worth trillions of dollars and yet he talks about the gospel and the one.

This is great! It addressed many of my concerns to sharing the gospel and has shown me it is something even I can do and succeed at.

I testify that what brother Christensen has said is true.Visions and dreams and great spiritual blessings that flow from beyond the veil do indeed happen when you are engaged in member missionary work.

I've read the book, it's good and works well for him (all good) I testify that you or any person--that the Holy Ghost works according to individual needs. When a missionary is called to a particular mission or when a mission president assigns a missionary to an specific area they do so as the Spirit directs. I'm not a Mormon, but I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I love God and I love people. It is so refreshing to remember these great teachings. I just want to thank the people involved in this effort to help give us tips on how to better communicate the important message of the Gospel.
