Seems like playing a game of 4D chess - multiple jurisdictions, tax laws and treaties moving, immigration rules are handled differently in each embassy let alone in each country??? PLUS laws change, governments change, and even global geopolitics too. I love the idea of getting around systems, laws, regulations and building strategies, etc - Sounds like a fun job!!

Setting up in Ireland can be a good idea with the right structure. A 12.5% corporate tax rate isn't bad. It's not a good as Hungary's 9%, but given the double tax treaties Ireland has in place it can still be very useful when you want to avoid having to deal with economic substance rules in most of the zero tax jurisdictions for IP. I mean I would much rather pay 12.5% or 9% in Ireland or Hungary for a corporation that holds my IP when I can use that company to pay a much lower cost development team in Eastern Europe or Asia without having to face fines or penalties in a place like the BVI or the UAE, or God forbid having to pay for work permits and staffing for an IT based company in the UAE. There is also a lot to be said for civil rights protections in the EU for a media company for example that come with those relatively low marginal rates. There is also something to be said for Ireland's non-domiciled tax treatment.
