Man I remember playing old games where you had to mash the a button and I developed this technique as a kid where I used my forefinger and tensed my arm so my finger would just rapidly tap a like my hand was vibrating. Was undefeated amongst my peers lol

In nes Tetris people have started tapping 4+ fingers on the back of the controller with a finger on the d pad to easily get 20 hertz (I think), however you only need to do a max of 5 inputs at once on the d pad so while it may be over all faster it probably isn’t consistent for mashing for more that a couple seconds
