Not impossible you just need to analise his gameplay and once you find his weaknesses use them against him. You also need to be a very well rounded and consistent pvp'er

Why does everyone say clown is better than techno or dream[or whoever else is "good" at mc] when in reality everyone specialises in different things [ for example techno rod pvp clown crystal pvp] so to know who's better it depends on MULTIPLE things and they'd probably have to battle in every gamemode[on 1.8 and 1.9+] that exists 3 times to get the answer of who is the best/more consistent.
