My dirtiest LPS is probably the first few I got when I started collecting. Two severely stained Grey collies, A fake-blood stained Great Dane, a cocker spaniel, and a fox. I could probably save one of the collies with nail polish remover, as soap and water just really aren't working for them. 😓

The problem with washing pets in soap and water: Sometimes the neck plugs can rust or mold because it's very hard to get the water out of their heads.

You can take the rust off with a q tip and hand sanitizer, but it can take some time

Tips if marker on an LPS use tooth paste. Tooth paste is full with baking soda with is like a cleanser and it helps them get out the marker. Then with soap and water scrub the pet. Then last pour alcohol into a bowl and soak the pets or use a qtip and dip it in some alcohol and scrub the stains that’s on your pet .

You can also use toothpaste to clean stained lps because it has a lot of similar ingredients to cleanser. I would recommend crest or Colgate.

Thank you for this! And no, none of my lps are this dirty all of them are fine But a Princess Luna (MLP) I Own has this big brown stain almost covering the entire body and really hard to clean, and it also looks gross And Hopefully i could clean it with this! Thank you!

When i was a kid and collecting, my sister got the same exact LPS as me on top of playing with multiple friends... became an issue of stealing pets or whatever so our parents made us initial out names on all our pets. I had hundreds of pets with AJ ingraved on the back of the heads lol

Oh ma gosh this video is a life saver!!!! Almost every single pet in my collection has stains all over them bcuz I wasn't a very careful child back then oof ":) Also I did these with my lps accessories that had impossible stains on them: You can pour some acetone in a cup or something and put the accessories in it If you wait a few days it takes off the stains!!! Based off of the type of stain it might take longer tho Like regular marker stains and pencil stains takes shorter but permanent marker stains takes longer to get rid off of

I'm late to the party on this, but I just received a huge lot of Lps yesterday from a seller in Canada for 400 CAD (I live here in the U.S. btw so I'll admit I was confused with the currency conversion) To say that the pets were in need of TLC is lightly putting it. There was paint- especially by the airbrushing or decals, initials in sharpie, sticky residue that I couldn't identify, chewed areas, rusting, cracked magnets and blemishes that would need to be carefully fixed with watercolor pencils, acrylic paint and some sealant. Not all of them was this bad, but needless to say I have a lot of repairs ahead of me, I may even sell them at discounted prices if I can't fix them.

i’ve been watching so many of the benzoyl peroxide lps cleaning videos because not a lot of them have a lot of views and i wanted to make sure it worked, and for me it has! i think i just need a cream with a higher percentage of bp bc mine is only 5% so i have to repeat the process a lot 😭

I also only have 5%, it's the highest my country sells, I found I can make the cream more effective by wrapping it in saran wrap after applying. Then leave it out in the sun. It's like bleaching your hair, you have to incubate it

@@chanheenator9824 I've never had the saran wrap melt. I could see if the benzoyl peroxide was way stronger and that it was under more direct heat then it COULD cause some damage that way. But I only use 5% and regularly check in anyways. Recently I had an lps that was stained all over the face, it just looked dirty. I covered the whole body in BP and stood the pet upright in a plastic bag and it worked the same!

if you boil sparky in hot water you could (gently) remove his plug and clean out the inside of his head! if you want lol do this at your own risk folks

SO when I was younger I had this beautiful red fox LPS and I wanted it to be black so I THOROUGHLY COVERED THE ENTIRE PET IN SHARPIE LOL I still have it to this day and all that happened was that some spots are like faded and patchy (By the way I started making LPS videos again because of you:) thanks Cecilia!)

also i recommend letting the pets soak in warm soapy water and cleaning them with a brush, and make sure there heads are upright so water won’t get into their heads! it helps a lot 👍 i’ve saved many really dirty nasty ones that way

Any dawn dish soap or dish soaps like dawn made my white pets white again (also scrub with a soft toothbrush). I had pets that were stained brown 💀 but the off brand dawn dishsoap worked so well I could barely recognize my pets anymore.

I haven’t had mold inside of a LPS’s peg before but try dunking the pet into hot water, taking it’s head off, just to get a better look at it to make sure if it’s mold or not

Okay, so. I have the red husky; I have since I was maybe like 7 (my mom bought it to put on my 7th birthday cake, I think?). I kid you not, he used to have marker stains IN THE SAME GREEN COLOUR as the one in this video. I can't remember why I did it, but I did do it. He has since been cleaned, though.

A little bit further into the video now, and I had a thought. I recently cleaned some LPS I had sitting in a corner cos at one point in time, a spider had made a web in the corner of the box, so I refused to touch it until recently. But when you talked about how dirty the water was from these LPS... O realized the water from my recent cleaning was a LOT dirtier (oops TwT)

I needed this so much, when I was 12 I ruined my brown husky with purple eyes by drawing on him with pen and coloring his eyes black to match the stuff I drew of him, I've been trying to scrub off the pen for so long without using acetone or repainting him, hopefully the techniques you used will get rid of the pen, and I can clean off my other pen stained pets

@@starcade_ yea the issues I have with getting it all off is when it's right in the eye crevices. I've done multiple rounds and let them sit in the sun without the cream on their eyes and it hasn't come off, but if there's pen on the eyes themselves, it will come off, and maybe leave some bit of residue behind

My most "dirty" lps is just covered in red paint. I have the same lps not covered in paint, so i mostly just use it to be a killer or a dead body-

Oh also!!! Something that should help cleaning Lps is a Mr clean spong, it removes a lot and you just gotta get some and tear a bit off the spong and do what it says!!!

my most dirty lps probably has mold, rust, a broken peg, whiteboard marker, eyeliner, essentially... all of it. I don't know if i have access to benzyl peroxyde so it'll have to wait before I put it back into condition.
