Harkirat, I am a Programmer with 15+ years of vast experience in IT. If you sit long hours without a break, you may earn a big bank balance, but you are soon going to get Fistula, Piles, Chronic back pain, Shoulder locks, and diabetes. You cannot even eat properly, you will lose proper sleep, and will be forced to retire early due to health issues. So better go for a slower journey, you have to live longer and healthier. Money will naturally come to you being in IT, but maintaining your health is extremely difficult for IT employees. Consult seniors to know the tricks on how to take care of your health to be able to work productively for another 10 more years.

I think sitting for longer hours, but having a 1 hour workout session would be good enough, isn't it? And ofcourse a good diet.

@@PiyushYadav-pl9jm I don't think it works that way, personal experience if you sit for long hours and have a workout later, still you can have lower back issues (slip disc in my case). So a 5 min stretch a leg in between your coding session helps.
@learningmaster8060
@learningmaster8060 10 ай бұрын
@@PiyushYadav-pl9jm Diet plays an important role. But if somebody sits for longer hours, they are gonna get Varicose veins at various parts of the body due to lack of blood flow for hours. Varicose veins at the anal area are called piles. Varicose veins at the back muscles are called chronic back aches. Somebody sitting long hours would have more health problems than somebody drinking alcohol regularly but staying active for longer hours. Humans are made to walk for 12 hours a day and sleep during nighttime. If somebody is not very active for at least many hours in a day, he will get chronically ill. That is why most IT people after their 40s are chronically ill even after eating the most healthy diet.

Its a very strange thing I feel when I watch your videos, cannot really explain what. Plus all of your videos are so information packed yet they are not monotonous to listen (yeah I mainly listen to videos - background play-> less distraction). Anyway thanks for making such content. Tip: do the to do list the previous working day, not at the start of your day. It’s really helpful to go into your new day focused and knowing what to start with. At the end of your day you will already have in your mind what still needs to be done and what the priority is to do next, leave it and you’ll need to check that all again to remind yourself. If you need to plan this out first then you’ve lost some of that momentum and will have the cognitive load of all the other things in your mind when trying to focus.

for the first time, I heard someone saying "Don't take breaks!" for me, I feel productive way more when I work for a long couple of hours without taking a break but people usually advise me to take breaks which is why I tried it sometimes but dropped it since it won't work for me,,, it's distracting, at least I feel that way... I constantly searched for maybe someone who would agree with me but never found one.

I cant understand how is that acceptable by those companies/clients is it not voilating corporate company laws? Is it moonlighting or ony other working model? Please make detailed complete video. I think its definately worth it. For now please give me a short answer 🙂

@asutoshrath3648 10 ай бұрын
I did that too. It is a fake dopamine boost. Doesn't have any kind of value as the people interested look at the context. What I felt to be really satisfying is breaking the project into modular fashion that with least amount of pushes you get a presentable project. Instead of the classic " doing the project screws and nuts first" model. For example. A scraping page, you can do frontend and backend together as such you will be creating a usable front end for every single data extraction however small or raw.

- Create a morning checklist of tasks to complete for the day to stay organized and avoid distractions. Checking tasks off is satisfying and keeps you focused. - Try not to take short breaks (e.g. every 50 minutes) when coding, as it breaks your train of thought and mental model. Work for 2-3 hours then take a longer break. - Stay hydrated and hydrate your eyes, which is important for health and reducing headaches when looking at screens for long hours. - Avoid social media breaks during work hours and instead use breaks for learning like listening to podcasts or reading documentation. - Make time daily to learn new technologies or skills, either by challenging yourself with new tasks at work or personal learning projects. This prevents skills from becoming outdated. - Stack meetings together and cut down on them as much as possible when coding to maximize focused time without interruptions. - Focus on being productive rather than just appearing busy. Companies care more about outcomes than face time or impressing managers. So, it's about maximizing focus, avoiding distractions, continuous learning, staying healthy, and prioritizing outcomes over appearances to be highly productive.

To be honest all the description you have mentioned are little hard to crack even if you crack it HR's and organization will ask for projects which will help you in getting in and negotiating. But all have a big future in the upcoming years. Though I feel like Data scientist/analyst/engineer have become one in most of the company. now a days companies are ready to pay separately to each description so they are excepting a jack of all trade. So choose wisely, just go through the contents of all the above mentioned roles and find which you find interesting and pursue it. And everything includes a little coding knowledge so keep working don't quit as it may seem easy mate. All the best😁
