How I coffee dye my papers - start to finish☕️

Request video - filming the process of how I dye my paper . This is how I do it … there are many others who can teach the process better but this is a real view into what it looks like for me . Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching!

I love coffee dyed papers but i mix up the coffee and put in a spray bottle and spray the papers and spread them around my craft shed to air dry. They dont get as crispy but still work fine for pages in journals and are probably a little more flexible to fold. Cuts down on the labor aspect for sure!

I made some but didn't dry on oven rack I used a tray .I did try large playing cards not a fan but I'll try ironing those as well .

Have never put my papers directly on my oven racks but lay on a pizza pan with holes all over it and have never used more than one, will have to try stacking cuz I love the drip marks you’ve gotten from coffee dripping from one rack to the other. Thanks for sharing your method.

I have done this once but I used tea. It took so long! I didn't enjoy having to sit near the oven for so long (I may have used too many papers haha) But it was pretty in the end. I didn't iron them though, I love them crunchy. My oven is gas, so I have the open flame at the back of it... I need to be super careful. I may have burnt a few pages haha (they didn't catch on fire, but were probably moments from doing so - the black bits flaked off pages when they were cool lol) Loved this video though. I am going to try with coffee. I will have to buy some as I don't drink it. I am almost out of my tea dyed paper, so it is good timing. :) Oh and by the way - I love the oven rack marks too and the drips. It looks fabulous!!

Thanks so much! Yes a gas oven would be a little scary! The instant coffee is easy and usually you can find some at any discount dollar store etc …. Good luck and thanks for watching!

Thank you so much for doing this video! It is not at all how I did mine but I am definitely going to try this way. What a good way to spend a cold winter day! And it goes without saying that your kitchen must smell delicious during this entire process.❤. One quick question - I am assuming you keep the iron on the lowest setting with no steam ... Correct? Again, thank you!

You are so welcome! glad you liked it - and yes low iron as it is paper - but i actually have used some steam and it works :) and yes i love the smell of hot coffee in the kitchen 🧡🍵
