You can get the Heritage rose water from Marshall’s, TJ Maxx or Home Goods for like $7 for a larger bottle that’s where I stock up on mines

I've been locked for 6 years now and I have had good results using Clairol Textures&Tones. It's not harsh and I deep condition every time I wash so the color doesn't take away the moisture.

I'm 32...and my greys are coming through like yours I feel like it looks dusty. My fro has gotten larger, so my greys are longer now. I had blonde color 3 years ago, and switched to bronze roots 2 years ago. And last year I dyed it black. Dark and Lovely hair dye works GREAT over Cream of Nature hair dye (in my opinion). Looks super cute!

Millicent it turned out really pretty. And I love the styles. I used to get my locs colored similarly with my first set and I loved it. I'm 19 months into my journey so if I have them colored again, I'll wait until my 2 or 3 year mark.

I love it, and I’m not mad at you for doing it!! I’ve been trying to accept and embrace my few grays in the front, but you got me thinking twice. 🙂. Please let us know if you experience excessive dryness and/or breakage. That’s my biggest fear with dying locs.

Will do! The first few days my hair seemed more dry than usual when I had the braids in, but perhaps I wasn't moisturizing it enough. BUT overall, it's fine now. 🙂

When the color fades more greys come with it I noticed it so I decided not to color anymore until I am fully grey right now I just have a couple of strings here and there majority of my hair is still my natural color

I'm finally starting my locs (in 2 months 😅) but thinking of dyeing my hair first bc I've never coloured my hair before (and I'm scared). Have you ever used henna to dye your hair? Or which hair dye brand do you recommend?

Do you wash your hair first (day before/day of) then dye it then rewash with the dark and lovely products? Or just go in unwashed?

I just go in unwashed. Most products will ask you to use the products on unwashed hair.
