this is actually a really great video, it’s hard to completely cut things out so just making it slightly harder/more inconvenient has reduced my screen time as well! i also put my phone on downtime/airplane mode until ~1 hour after i wake up, and in combination with having no notifications, i don’t feel as tempted to check my phone. the book atomic habits goes over this as well!

I always come to KZfaq thinking of searching for something but I end up watching shorts or whatever is on my top recommendation I got to this video by searching but I feel like I have to beat KZfaq before it gives me any recommendation because they always recommend good stuff just not what I need that specific moment. This video is life saving. My laundry will finally get done

I'ts so awesome that you made a video about this! Quitting social media or not, shaking off the psycho-manipulative hooks that lurk in these apps is an amazing thing for anyone to do. I've been using one for youtube to remove the feed, recommended, and comments, and its been super nice. I didn't know there were extensions for the other apps - Thanks for sharing the extensions!!

a good strategy that's worked for me is deleting social media apps off my phone and only using them through the browser. since the browser versions are so un-user-friendly and slow, i end up using social media for < 30 min a day!

I love the ideas and steps you put forward in this video! When Online classes started , I got addicted to social media like too much My Laptop was with me 24/7 Headphones plugged in Literally watched everyday video KZfaq recommended And I completely lost my control Thank you so much , No words to explain Now I only use them when needed and I also subscribed your channel so that I won't miss your updates The only thing I could do now Thank you so much again

These are great tips and way more practical than just deleting all social media all together! As content creators I think that can be quite hypocritical to do 😝 as long as we are responsible with our usage, I don’t think there is anything wrong with social media!! also found an app called one sec. basically you set up an automation. when you open an app it redirects to onesec which makes you take a deep breath, after that you can choose to continue to app or not. i automated it so that every time i open tik tok, breathe, onesec will open CNN instead 😆looking forward to see how it works!

I just delete KZfaq off my phone and only go on it on my computer so I don't have access to it everywhere I go. KZfaq took up most of my screen time on my phone.

i would simply put a password for installing apps and paste a random one and don't save it nowhere so I can't recover it so I won't be able to install anymore on my phone
