How I Custom Painted the Power Wagon Dirt Drag Truck!!!

The last step in finishing off my latest build, the Dirt Drag Truck conversion, is painting and mounting the body. I contemplated on this for a while, since the first video on the build actually. Trying to decide on how to mount it, whether to keep the fenders or not, what color to go with, left me with more questions than most RC bodies I paint. And this was a simple paint job!!!
I'm really happy with how it turned out though and hopefully you guys like it too. The Proline Power Wagon body came out great, there's so much detail and really nice lines on the body. It's unique and that's exactly what I was looking for with this build. The camera doesn't do this color any justice. I can't wait to get it outside and see how it looks in the sun. And get it dirty!!! HaHaha

The dirt dragon is lookin great man! Awesome job!!! You should make a dodge ram head hood ornament for her!!!!! Oh....and LIGHTS!!!

Thank you! I've been thinking about lights but I'm torn between going scale and keeping it light for performance.

You did a magnificent job painting and detailing the body. I definitely think the treatment inside the rear fenders is a great idea. The paddle tires love to kick up sand and rocks and would ruin the paint job.

Thank you so much! I'm really hoping the dry wall tape and shoe goo will protect the paint. I even sprayed a coat of plastidip on top of that.

Love the mounting idea hope it can hold 50 to 60 mph I want to purchase the viper body and don't want to make wholes in it

I think it'll hold for what I want to do. If it doesn't I'll add a little more velcro. I've have trouble getting crawler bodies off in the past cause I used too much velcro 🥴🥴

whatever happened to the og purple-green nova body? also i rekon you could 3d print a tool box that connects from the cab and goes into the bed to connect it better, cuz when u pick it up and when it sits on the car it looks like it arches a bit both ways

The very first body I painted for my No Prep Car? I still have it, I wrapped it around a pole once hahaha. That body was hard to keep together with all the different pieces. And yes, I agree, there is a little flex in the body that wouldn't have been as bad likely if I wouldn't have cut it to begin with.
