i think one of the worst things is when you think a test went really well and then you get it back and it isn't that great. i can cope if i knew i didn't do well in a test, but if i thought i did well and then didn't, that can be quite disappointing.

A_Little_Me I do use Khan Academy, but I only use it because my mom makes me. I resent it because my mom sees how much I'm putting into my homework and the lack of sleep and stress I get from it. Yet, she still makes me use Khan Academy.
@yasminrei

Tina Lin your mom cares about you. She wants you to do very well. Your mom wants to be the best mom she can be, believe me. I'm 13 years old and my mom also pushes me to the limit, until I'm really stressed and tired. My mom has experienced life, she has lived longer than me and is bound to know more about the world that I do. It is the same with your mom. Chances are that your mom is teaching you a lesson, about how to do well and work hard, therefore she is encouraging you to do so and push yourself to the limit. She has probably the exact same scenario as you are right now; and she will know the outcome. If she didn't care about you - and your education - she wouldn't be doing this. Instead, she would probably just tell you to do what you like and make you learn about life the hard way. If she didn't care about you, she wouldn't care about anything you did. So once again, listen to your mom's words. She wants to know you will do well in life and that's all she cares about. She knows that this kind of thing won't happen if she doesn't guide you. Your mom loves you and cares about you. Make her proud.

my phys chem professor once told us a story about how he barely scraped a pass in his physical chemistry exam. The point is, there are so many factors going into that exam, maybe your prof was bad, maybe the exam was too hard, maybe you didn't study the right way or maybe the subject is just not for you. Whatever the reason, always remember that failure is a reflection of those factors, not of you as a person. Just because you fail an exam or two doesn't make you a failure.

unFayemous I had a math teacher in the 6th grade who barely taught us the material. I couldn’t understand anything and I was failing all of my math tests after being a straight A student in math I went to a D+ Student. She couldn’t do anything so I behaved like a maverick to her and she couldn’t do anything and eventually on the last day of school I gived her a really bad grin and she felt bad for herself for not. I heard after that she quit her job afterwards. Fuck my 6th grade math teacher because it ruined all of my reputation and it took me 2 months of summer break to repair and I finally passed my first test and got an A+ yesterday on my math test and I went to honors math for the first time.

I know a lot of people who are smart and capable and hardworking who struggle at school. Honestly I blame it more on our standardized, outdated system of education and the inability for a lot of students to pay for that education rather than on students' lack of talent or dedication.

Try different methods of studying like surprisingly flash cards, using/watching videos, try even studying with friends or in a group. Also if u study in the same area where you always study, trying studying in a different location/room, but make sure it's not a distracting area. Also this one's a big tip but while studying please do give urself a mini break, go sip some tea or coffee, do some stretches to put a pep in ur step, heck even go wash ur face or pee xD It'll make a nice difference. Hoped these tips helped u in some way! good luck!! ^^

I am so happy you have done this video. I had a hard time when i got low in math. i used to cry every night because i felt i failed my mom and dad. math is the toughest for me. but then i came out of it because i realised that just because i got low once does not mean i am a total waste. i still had other subjects in which i scored well. i worked hard for math and now again this year i got low in a practice test but it did not bother me much because I thought i could sit and cry or i can try to avoid the mistakes i made and work hard for the finals. and now math seemed to finally click in my brain. so if u get low for a test it does not mean anything bad. failure is a part of life. so do not let it break u from trying to do better.

See, this is a good video for if you have failed one test, which is good. But as someone coming from their freshman year of college, my man you have got to be ready for if worse comes your way. Because it can, and it will. Eventually. Someday you will fail horribly. And that's okay! We all do! But for anyone coming to this video to look for solace when shit has really hit the fan, and maybe it even is your fault, and maybe you even do hate yourself, it's okay. It's okay and you'll get through it. One bad test score is not the end of the world. Failing a class is not the end of the world. Failing three classes is not the end. Failing out of your college is not the end. You can always get back up, and you should always keep trying. Even when that means trying something entirely new, keep trying. This is a good video. But remember this is on an extremely small scale. These kinds of failures are far from the worst you should see, and I want you to be ready. I don't want you to be surprised when it eventually comes. Good luck ya'll.

there was one point in this year where i constantly got F's and D's on my quizzes in biology. then i tried reviewing the questions i got wrong, and now i'm getting C's and B's. Yes, i can obviously do better than those grades, but then i realized that i'm taking a 10th grade class in 8th grade. Our teacher gives us packets to do, so i use those to help me as well. Right now i have a 91% in that class and i'm really proud of myself for keeping that grade up.

Hey! I absolutely LOVE your videos. I just wanted to say thank you for helping so many people around the world (especially youngsters which are constantly stress out with life in general). I love your videos because they go straight to the point. As you yourself don't appear in them, you are basically telling your viewers that all you want for them is to improve after watching your content, instead of trying to make it distractive and too cute/cool as other youtubers do. These videos really motivate me. I watch 1 or 2 per day, and with that, I go straight to study or work in assignments. I wish more people actually knew your channel. But I'm sure that if you keep it like this, you would have a lot more subscribers in a couple of years. Thank you for your hard work on making REAL content! So, I have been struggling with math. I recently decided to "skip" a year of math and move ahead to the year above me. I understand almost everything during the lesson but I have a hard time remembering the lesson during a test and start panicking. So far, the best test grade I have gotten is a C+ and being used to getting over a 95% in math, I find this really disappointing and honestly it puts me down a lot. It has started to affect me in other classes, and last year I would get on to principal's list and honor's every quarter but this year I haven't. What should I do? Math has made me psychologically worse and affected my other classes. However, I do want to stay in that class, and not go back to the one I am supposed to be in now.

Hmmm, I think that if it has affected you greatly psychologically I would say definitely go back. However if you really want to give it one more chance, on the upcoming days of the exam watch some youtube tutorials about what you've learnt to refresh the concept, do some extra questions this will a l w a y s help even if you think they're easy you might forget some little tiny detail that might make you make a bigger mistake. Those are my tips, but if it was my teacher he would probably say to do again, extra questions or revise every afternoon for 10 minutes what the class was about that day to make sure you understood everything and its fresh in your brain. I honestly think you will make better progress, you're at a C+ on your way to a B, thats incredible at this stage of the year as you will only keep making progress. Only compare how you're doing with yourself this semester, and not other people. Don't let it affect your other subjects as Im sure you are doing great in them and we want to keep that up :)

This video was so helpful. I failed a subject at University and it's so hard for me, I've never failed anything. So this is completely new to me, I tried my best but it didn't work. However, I have to remember that I arrived to University, which was my goal since I was a kid. I know that somehow I will pass this subject, maybe not tomorrow, maybe next year. Who knows? But I will do it. Having a positive mind is what helps me most right now. Thank you again for talking about failure, it's true that it's not the end of the world :)

Thanks girl, I really needed this. Okay so I'm a really young freshman in high school(as in I entered high school when I was 12 and only turned 13 this past November) so I have A LOT of pressure to get good grades. But recently I got a 68 in Spanish 2(which I can't change) and I actually started crying. But thanks to this video(and support from friends) I learned from it. So next semester I have four new classes, and with that, a fresh start to redeem myself with. Thank you so much!

We both agreed that I would take the class again next semester and go at it with a new approach. So now if I do better the D won't count so yay!

I just had a test a few days ago and I studied so so so hard and got a D now I don't like admitting this because I have all honors and I have good grades but math is just very hard for me and the lowest grade I have out of all my classes. Thank you so much for this video. I've been struggeling with this for a whole year for one test. It's a multiply choice test and you need to have a certain number right, to pass the level. I still haven't passed the 2nd level from the 1st year (I'm a second year student al the moment in college) last year I got a 5,3 (0,2 points away from succeeding), and this year I got a 5,1. I already know what when wrong and that is that I do not prepare that well and not study really good for the test. Since I've discovered your videos I'm studying already at the moment, even though I have the test in like 2 months. I really need to pass, otherwise I may have to leave school. Thank you for this video and every other video!! Love from the Netherlands

Just got the result today. Gonna go get that tub of ice cream as been studying my brains out hoping to be able to retake, but it's a no go, so tonight I treat myself. As disappointing it is, I just feel relieved now I have the result.

This is so helpful another one is, if you continue to feel upset overtime. Then as suggestion, put that aside and think of the positives in life that you all had. Later, look at and make list, yet evaluate what went wrong, establish, or ask teacher about how you gotten the grade. This is so helpful, and I'm not sure how to address you Studyign. Although, this is a really nice video I think I would over prepare my self. Because lately, I kind of worry about struggling in math. However, for physics I got a lower grade, yet bumped it up to a 67 and rounded down to 69. Possibly, since I need to finish and polish my assignment tomorrow. Then I will be able to turn in on google classroom from using a checklist. Because checklists for assignments helps so much, they may not come in use. Although they are great to make sure everything is doubled spaced and etcetera.

this is really helpful!!! I had to learn how to deal with failure pretty recently, I had only taken honors courses and was in my first ap course, which kicked my butt (since honors and ap have different work ethics needed) although I didn't do this exactly it was similar! I was really upset over it, got angry at myself and then had a sudden shift where I decided that I could do well in that course!! so I made a small game plan, wrote down some motivational things all around me and started working thrice as hard in the class- my teacher even noticed and told me that I need to keep having that mind set! It was difficult for me bc I am very much who had never dealt with academic failure and suddenly had to relearn that B's and C's are okay too!!

I'm stressing about my math grade because I do have a 102% overall but the next quiz will be very difficult and it will most likely drop my grade back to an A than a A+. This isn't just me right. You feel so good that you are doing well but then there's another quiz that will pull you back. I'm only in middle school but I think about colleges and my future everyday. I try to stay productive and not watch KZfaq so much but failure is what brings my mood down and makes me what to never work hard again. But anyways, I love your videos because they encourage me so much and are a big reason on why I am so happy. Also could you do a Hobonichi planner flip through and did you buy a new one for 2017??
