I am putting this out again so that someday my message that I want to convey grabs your attention. Firstly, thanks for the lovely vlogs that you and your family make. Having said that, there are couple of things that I feel sad about each time there's a celebration. Before I explain myself, I would like to say that this is not just you but most of the families do it unknowingly and through your channel I want to reach out to all your fans and hope that you would take note and make a better choice and ask people to do the right thing too. It's about the trash we generate in the name of decoration be it the balloons or the shimmers or the party popper or simply the plastic wrappers and the various one time plastic items, ribbons, foil and what not. I wish people pause and think for a second about their consumption and the waste disposal. You can't even imagine the amount of trash we are filling our earth with on an individual basis. Every time we buy a product, please think where will it end up eventually. For example all the numerous balloons that we put up, what happens to the rubber/latex that a balloon is made of? It can't be recycled and it cannot be decomposed. Such waste is filling our oceans and landfills. The amount of waste generated affects the environment in multiple ways: its contribution to the worsening climate crisis, its negative impact on wildlife and the natural environment, and its detriment to our very own public health. Balloons and millions of other plastic waste that we throw out of our houses every day end up killing and polluting animals and water bodies and our soil. Such wastes when lay deep in our land release harmful gases too. There is so much that can be talked about that it's not possible to write everything here. I would request everyone reading this msg to please read about such topics and be more aware and cautious of your actions and the environment. Google if ever in doubt. Google if a particular product is recyclable or not, is it biodegradable or not. Please try and segregate your waste at home before disposing. Every small thing that cannot be recycled and decomposed, is harmful and also occupies space on land (landfill). Even something that can biodegrade but ends up in landfill will take decades to decompose due to the anaerobic environment it is thrown into. It is high time that every individual is aware of these things and we all together slowdown the rapid climate change and save our mother earth otherwise we will only have complaints and regrets. Please stop using such items and look for alternatives such as few paper decorations, hangings, flower decorations etc. Every time you shop, use your cloth bags or reuse the plastic bags at home. DO NOT get new ones. If we want to leave behind years of safe environment for generations to come we have to make compromises if need be. Thanks for reading! It's even more imp to share in such vlogs because through your videos you are promoting such decorations. I'm sure 100s of people watching this will go ahead and order lacs and lacs of balloons and this trash generation will never end. These things definitely look beautiful but it's time we decide what is more imp and how we can consume less and generate least amount of trash. Please!
