Loved this, Ash! So useful for a newbie like me. Found this video from your LinkedIn Learning course 'Developing a KZfaq Strategy' which was also excellent. Loved how you went into so much detail. Keep up the great work. I'm now subbed and liking. Many thanks. :)

Really enjoyed this. We love your vibe! This was really helpful, and we will watch your pre-production process next. We would love to see your editing process for reality programming! We have been documenting our travels and are drowning in hundreds of hours of tape, and insight into out how to think about reality/doc style from your experience would be great. Looking forward to diving into your library.

Thank you and thanks for watching! Oooh! Yes you definitely need a process! I’ll try to do a video on it in the future but my tip would be to be super organized and have different sequences for different things. For example, on the reality tv show I worked on we would have a sequence for each person that was interviewed. Then each time there was a new interview I’d add it to the end of that sequence. Also have separate sequences for reality footage (anything not interviews). So let’s say you traveled to a beach and eat at a restaurant, have separate sequences with all the footage dumped in there for both. Then (and this part isn’t fun) go through and add markers for important moments or descriptions of the interview questions or answer. This is key. There’s too much footage for you to wade through footage bins so instead you’ll search your markers in your sequences and grab the clips from there! In premiere you can open a Markers window and search any text you’ve put in a marker. Need an interview bite of someone saying they love the beach? Search beach and it will serve you up all the markers in that interview sequence that includes the word beach. This takes a lot of work on the front end but you’ll be thanking yourself once you get into editing as it will really save you time there! Hope that helps!

Nice. You skipped adding color from log video. Why? All of a sudden there was bright color at 11:00.

Hello there and thanks for watching! I skipped color correcting LOG because it's a whole thing that could be it's own video and I already covered it in a separate video here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a59_jbKXstmucas.html As for the bright color, I'm not seeing that on my end so that might have been an issue with your own monitor. Hope that helps!

@@Film_It_Yourself ok. Thanks. I meant the color changed on you monitor which was related to log. I'll check your video. I found you on LinkedIn learning. I've done courses there too.
