I don't even try to finish within a set amount of time lol. I'll do one section today, another section 2 days later, the whole half of my head when I have a chunk of free time over the weekend...If you don't try to keep a serious schedule then you can't disappoint yourself with your speed 🤣

Wow I'm so surprised how many of ya'll are struggling to re-tie your own hair!I have about 500 locs but it normally takes me 6 or 7 hours to do it!

That's where I'm tryna get. Mine will be a yr in April . I'm switch from the 4pt to 3. I got 5weeks tried 6 but I workout 4-5 days a wk & my head was like "you knew better"lol

Same. I thought I would be one of those people that does a 12 hour retie in one day just to finish it. Like we're going 8am to 8pm and we're done! Nope. I greatly overestimated my motivation. Sometimes I only want to do 2 hours of retightening a day and it is what it is. It gets done when it gets done! 🤣

I have 410 I'm now able to retighten them in 2 days & sit right on the couch lol. April will be a year.

I noticed the more I interlock my locs, the quicker I get. I started taking about 2 days to do them…now I can finished my entire head roughly 4-5 hours and that’s because I like to take mini breaks in between. The tool used also makes a difference…But it looks really good!!!

@@ogechio1609 I find myself alternating between the London loc tool and a smaller interlocking tool depending on the size of the loc.

I just did my first retie. I just worked for an hour or so at a time or u til I got tired. I think it's great to not have any set time it has to be done in. I'll never have anyone else do it cuz I hate people touching my hair.

yes self reties are tiring, and take forever. I am almost 6 months in and I already found me a loctician, in fact cause of where I reside, I found two cause they book up so fast.

Your micro locs are beautiful!! Did you find a Loctitian? I’m in Fayetteville NC and I’m looking for a Loctitian as well😊. I started my micro locs April this year . It’s so time consuming for my retie as well. I just need a Loctitian too! I will drive to Raleigh It’s not far if you found one . In Fayetteville It’s hard to find one that are taking new clients. Please let me know if you found one. 😊help a sister out lol

There is a loctian in Florence SC. Her name is Tammy Hickman. She's in 2nd loop..she's good.

Florence is about 45 min to an hour from Fayetteville. She started my mom locs. I have know her for over 20 years and she's been doing hair about 25 years. She's very knowledgeable.

Serious hair crush!!! WOW! I knew when I was doing my research that I wanted nothing to do with a retie. Ha!! I happily pay my $120-150 every 5 weeks! I am 7mths old as of now! Best decision ever! It will have to be the rapture that stops me from getting to my loctican for a retie. No madame!

I believe it’s possible. I’ve seen a couple KZfaqrs do it. Interlocking is just beneficial for my lifestyle

Hey! I don’t have many issues with marrying/growing together. But whenever I wash my hair I try to make sure I go through and separate any while they’re damp
