Well done! Same issue on my 04 accord. Unplugged tps sensor and brake pedal resumes functioning shift lock cylinoid properly. Thank you!

also have never seen this issue this was the first time I ever saw this problem. I guess it applies to all those Hondas from 2000 to 2007.

Did you find out what it is? I have a 93 accord that doesn't engage on any gear doesn't go into park and the automatic shift stick move freely without having to press break or shift button..

@@Rank92 I have an ‘04 Accord… my problem was the “Shifter Cable”. Which has been discontinued and nobody around here where I live has it either lol. So my car is currently sitting in the junkyard as we speak.

Best video about this problem I did this test I you show on the video and got a reading of 9.2. the question is on my prelude only has the problem after driving it if I go to to P and the try to put it in gear again it won't move I have to turn it off and then turn it on to so I can move the shifter in to gear. Any advice? I would really appreciate

I would advise you to change it. you can find a oem part on ebay because honda already discontinued these parts

Could this just be incorrect calibration on the install of the TPS or does the TPS just have to be replaced??

ir could. I adjusted this one and worked fine but some people commented even adjusted wouldn't work so I guess is just better change it for a new one

i have a 2006 element that is not going out of park and on the side there is an assess hole to put a screwdriver in to release it any suggestions on the issue?

nop I had to change the throttle position sensor

there is a little cap in the middle next to the shifter u gotta pop it out and insert a flat screw driver to push the plastic release lock

My 04 accord i think my shifter cable broke, for the last couple weeks it had a lot of play and wouldn't let me slide it into d3 without pressing the button like it normally does, then all of a suddem the shifter moves up and down without changing gears, this is most likely the cable right? Or the bushing?

to be honest I have never changed a cable on these Hondas bu it kinda sounds like the cable

My issue is the button of the shifter (the silver button). I press it and it doesn’t want to move. I have to use both my hands and try and press it hard for it to move from parking to drive and viceversa. It started about two weeks ago and I have decreased the use of the car due to how hard I push the button for it to move. Any tips? Or do I need to completely replace the shifter?

ok for that I have seen that the plastic inside breaks in half making it hard to push it in. you need to remove the shifter and check it. is easy you need only a screw driver

disconnect the throttle position sensor and if it moves out of park then your issue is the throttle position sensor

I have 2008 Honda Accord and shifter got stuck i was told to check three fuse in driver side under steering I think 5/6//18 which is all 7.5 and one on passenger side 7.5 and passenger side 7.5 is good but dont hv power Then I changed brakes light switch but still nothing its In stuck condition can you help

try disconnecting the throttle position sensor first like i showed in the video if the shifter moves then your trhottle sensor could be out of calibration but if nothing happens it could be an electrical issue and that would require someone to fiscally check the wiring and the shift solenoid to determine the cause.
