How I Float Mount and Frame my Artworks on Paper

In this video I show you how I float mount my artworks made on etching paper (so you can see the lovely edges).
Then I show you how I swap artworks into ready made frames which is really useful if you want to change the artworks you have framed up.

Good tip about keeping out dust. I always always have a cat hair I have to remove.

Yes, I used to have the same problem (but our cat died at Christmas last year). I would love another one, even with the cat hair/framing problem!

I always put acid free paper between the print and the backing board. 😊

Looks great I have similar the same frames with the metal clips but different woods and finishes. I buy them from a frame shop. Is that what you call a doble matt? I prefer that-it gives depth and substance to the artwork. I make salt prints and other old photographic prints and they look wonderful properly framed. They often have subtle tones and need the contrast with he matt to really accentuate them. Best wishes. :-)

I'm not sure if it's called doble matt- there's only one piece of mount board round the piece (though I know double mounting- with 2 mount boards round it can look amazing too- though a bit more expensive). Makes such a difference I find putting some space around a piece of work and getting it 'dressed up'
