This year I found out I have Autism and suddenly the course of my entire life makes sense. In this video I explain what it was like growing up as a child without an autism diagnosis, and how I believe my autism manifested itself as an eating disorder (anorexia).

Great video! I am 39F and recently self-diagnosed, and I’m guessing all three of my kids (daughters) are on the spectrum. Thanks for putting your voice out there- I’m listening to every neurodivergent voice I can find! 😉

The part about the ed and how you didn't felt like it had a cause or an explanation. And how you didn't have body dysmorphia. Omg, I can relate so much.

6:56 well, I am not sure about me, but as I remember, It wasn’t until my sister started playing when I started playing too, before, I only remember like organizing my toys, and also, it was difficult for me to playing because all the setting messed up.

Thanks for sharing your story 🥰 It wasn’t scattered at all - it was very comforting to listen to, like listening to a friend. I love how natural you are on camera. It’s wonderful you discovered a book and diagnosis that made everything make sense to you! Labels are only useful as long as they are helpful. Cheers to being an autistic female! Neurodiversity is a gift 🌸

Michelle, your words mean so much to me! ❤️ It’s always so funny to hear when other people saying I seem natural on camera, because in reality I’m sooo insecure and nervous😳 But yes, SO grateful for so many amazing resources out there, and I couldn’t agree more that labels have their time and place! 🙌

My best friend is autistic and I am going to tell her that it is something amazing that makes her unique because she has been finding it alienating and isolating lately. Thanks for sharing your story 💛💛
