How I gave my IKEA Moppe Mini Drawers a makeover.

As part of my craft cave makeover I needed some small drawers for all of my little crafting bits and pieces. I was inspired by an image I saw on Pinterest to invest in some IKEA Moppe mini drawer sets and then decorate them up. This is the video of the process and I'm extremely happy with the final results.

I like how colorful and cheery these drawers are. The pulls are just right. They are saying, "Pull me and peek inside this drawer." What a bright and happy place for inspiration and crafting!

Brilliant Ceri! I have lots of these IKEA units which I've inherited from my husband's workroom. I will now paint and decorate them and use them for my crafting, dedicating them to his memory. He was a DIY buff and loved these units.

That was an ambitious project. I the colors and collages fronts. The drawer pulls are amazing. Well worth the effort.

awesome job....i so love it, so warming in your craft cave....i did the same thing on a smaller scale rescuing a small wooden desk organizer and was totally happy with the results.

Sometimes as crafter we get ahead of ourselves and that’s OK! You were in the crafting zone. Love how the drawers turned out. That was quite a big Project.

So, exactly how long should the screws be? What is the thickness of the wood on the drawer fronts/backs? I have a few of these being delivered next week and am trying to gather what I need.

My drawers are 1/4 inch thick, I’m not sure if that varies from country to country so I’d need the screws to be approx 3/4 inch but then again it will depend on how far the screw can go into the handle. If it’s a little loose you could always use a couple of small washers. Hope that helped.

Oh these little storage drawers are just so perfect! You have a great eye for color and the draw pulls are awesome. I would love these in my craft space but I need to work through some things first so I can free up space for them. Thank you so much Ceri for sharing these with us!
