I believe I might have fine hair! I went 2 weeks without washing it and it actually feels super healthy and nice. Everyone's hair is different though. Before doing so, I used a hair mask. Idk if that affected anything and aided in the healthy texture.

To make your hair less oily add a table spoon of salt, if you want to have thicker hair add powered gelatin, if you want to make your hair more healthy add vitamin E capsules to your shampoo. If you want hair growth make a flax seed gel mask. Use cornstarch and a powder brush or put some in a salt shaker as natural dry shampoo to extended washes. It won’t show if you brush through it. Sleep with a loose hairstyle like a bum or braid in a silk scarf of with a silk pillow case. To reduced breakage brush before you wash. When you brush your hair start from the bottom and work up. Once every six’s weeks use a different shampoo or plane dawn dish soap. Shampoos build up over time.

I have fine hair and I’ve just got into not washing it every day. My hair up to last month was an absolute grease ball and would immediately get greasy next day after washing, sometimes greasy same day. I first changed to a professional shampoo- and it was a moisturising shampoo not one that strips the oils. Shampoo twice. Conditioner for mid to ends That gave me an extra day or two without washing and no dry shampoo needed. Still wasn’t wanting to wash so often. So I use dry shampoo and I used to hate it, but I feel like I was using it wrong for my hair type. For fine hair I would say putting a little of dry shampoo in your clean hair before it even has a chance to get super oily worked for me. What didn’t work for me was using the dry shampoo when it was already too late. I don’t over touch my scalp and don’t over brush as you’re just pulling all the oils everywhere and dragging dry shampoo into your ends making it dry. Using a barrel brush to blow dry roots of hair after a wash also gives a good root lift which keeps hair off the scalp longer, which helps with us oily peeps. This has worked for me I’m on day five no shampoo. I work out too I just re apply dry shampoo if needed. For the record I have extremely fine hair and I know the struggle. I think some people’s genetics will never allow them to go more than two or three days max without shampooing. I felt that was going to be me but I’m figuring it out

I have not shampoo'd my hair in five weeks. I'm doing the "no poo" method, you should check it out. It takes around 6 weeks for your hair to get used to not shampooing, and I'm seeing a big difference. my hair is thin and it has been a process but its been working for me. hope this helps!

Put dry shampoo in the day you wash and everyday after that. It prevents oil from coming to the surface. It works so much better than trying to use dry shampoo on hair that is already visibly oily. I use the Acure Dry Shampoo powder that you can find on Amazon and that leaves your hair feeling soft and natural without any texture or grit.

I typically wash my hair everyday because I have such an oily scalp. I’m on day five right now training it and brushing out the oil and letting my dry shampoo sit for 2-5 minutes before messaging it in and rebrushing helps so much!! I never understood how to use dry shampoo properly until now and am so excited to wash my hair tomorrow and go six or seven days without washing. The pandemic pushed me to just do it because my hair seriously doesn’t need to be clean right now and there are more important things to do than waste my time washing my hair. I’m really excited to save money and now find a non toxic dry shampoo. Thanks for the tips B! Maybe I’ll be a 10+ day gal soon!

The thing is, greasiness isn't the only reason we wash our hair every couple of days. There's also the buildup of dust and air pollution that we need to clean off because hair does react to them (eg humidity, wind, etc.) and may even absorb them, which can get pretty disgusting in all honesty.

I always flip my head over when rinsing and it really gets the grease and extra soap out from underneath and this helps a lot! I can go like 3 to 4 days but I work out 5 to 6 days a week and my hair literally gets soaked in sweat each time. Also it’s pulled back in a tight pony tail and yes I’ve tried all the hair ties and they all leave creases. Unfortunately my hair just stinks obviously with all that sweat. I don’t want to dump like fragrance loaded products on it to make it smell better so I end up having to wash more often then I would like. BUT I am going to try that brush. Thanks girl your hair is beautiful. 💜

Yes, the curly girl method! Someone with curly hair shouldn’t be washing every day or even with sulfates at all. Also never, ever brush your hair dry. Curly hair needs to be wet in order to be brushed. When you do brush it use either a wide tooth comb or a wet brush. Wetting it isn’t washing it.

hey just wanted to say that while brushing your scalp with the right brush does help distribute oils throughout your hair, overdoing it is gonna stimulate the scalp abd make it produce more oils!

What I like to do is Day 1 after washing I straightened my hair Day 3 start to look greasy so I wear half up half down then at the emend if the day I’ll wipe it with a wet rag then braid Day 6 wash I work out every day put my hair up then after I go through my hair with a wet wipe or paper towel

A another tip is using a wooden brush instead. It distributes the oil from the roots to the end and it gives your scalp a massage when you brush is, which promote hair growth as well.

I saw a KZfaq recently where the person in the video mentioned that her hairstylist friend taught her to apply the dry shampoo on the day of the wash and that extends your less greasy hair experience. I’ve only tried it once so far so I can’t say anything about it just yet. But I am definitely enjoying this video so much! I’ve lost track of when I last washed my hair I think it’s been about eight days. I’m hoping to reset the oil production by not washing it

what temperature do you use to curl? I also have naturally wavy hair and for the last 10 months I was sticking to Curly Girl Method and curled it only naturally and most of the time diffusing with low temperature. But it doesn't always give me the effect I want and I miss curling iron curls ;) at the same time I don't want to damage my hair. So I was wondering how it works for you?

I pretty much purchased the whole line and the dry shampoo. And its working out great! I also work out every other day while dieting and taking my vitamins. My hair is not oily or smelly. I also use a silk pillow case as well. Lifestyle change, thank you so much! The way my hair is growing I expect my hair to grow from 18 inches to 20 inches in about 3 months! I've also extend my hair washing to 4 days for someone who has a lot but thin hair its amazing.

Hi, I’m really enjoying your channel. I would love to purchase the Innocence range and try your hair routine for myself. However, I live in the UK and wondered if you can recommend a UK equivalent of this shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner please. Thank you Yours sincerely Lindsay

Its all about research I've been into hair for years back in 2014 I started doing twice a week too just once a week STILL only doing once a week it's awesome and definitely helps . you have to teach your hair. Your hair is getting very oily because you're stripping your oils so your hair is over doing it with the oils

Enjoyed the video and all the info. :) Me personally got my hair trained and now I can go good 5-6 days with no need to use dry shampoo (never used it in mu life) the next 2days I just style it in a ponytail or bun and thats pretty much it 💁

I went a month without washing my hair due to having surgery ( I showered obviously) but I wasn’t allowed to wash my head! But after that I stopped washing my hair as often because my hair wasn’t greasy at all with dry shampoo and I can like 2 weeks on top of the fact I use heat and I have naturally very curly hair

I dry shampoo the day I wash and everyday after that. It prevents oil from coming to the surface instead of trying to use dry shampoo to get rid of visible oil.

I usually wash my hair every day except when I don't have to go out or anything coz it gets itchy, oily and I don't feel clean if I don't. It's a real trouble coz I have a very thick and wavy hair. Your video gives me the confidence to at least keep a day or two gaps! However, I am wondering, doesn't your scalp smell if you are keeping your hair unwashed for so many days?
