Week till gcse exam and I’m only just starting to revise so Yh love that for me

I literally just made sure I knew how to structure an essay, had good plans for how to write intros, read through the booklets that my teacher gave me on the way to school and on the way back to school (my commute is 40 minutes) multiple times with a planned timetable of what I would do on the bus. I also looked at some Mr Bruff youtube videos which were helpful and gave me new ideas, it's also extremely important to dig into the quotes as much as you can! I wrote a whole paragraph on the significance of one word in my GCSE exam. Also I would recommend using context all the time and always coming up with a point on each paragraph which is significant and to the point of the question, link this point back to the writer's message e.g. (The writer does blank to teach/show/e.t.c. the audience that x should be more x to prevent the tragedy of x). Make sure to put a conclusion at the end I recommend the wording (In Evaluating this statement/question/e.t.c. I conclude that) I got a grade 9 at GCSE in English. I recommend doing small chunks and learning your quotes STRAIGHT AWAY and pulling out the important ones AS YOU ARE LEARNING. If you do this you will have much less stress when it comes to revision later. Before the exams I just read through some key quotes again and the significance of them and read a cartoon summary of the stories. Essays should be written in chronological order to not confuse your examiner and to improve your essay structure. Make sure you not only remember the key quotes but practice writing PEED paragraphs with detailed analysis for them. Also write practice intros to questions This may sound difficult but trust me, it's not too difficult you can achieve a 9!

I'm so stressed for my GCSEs

1 month till gcses still havent started lmao who else

I know I said I would in the video and loads of you guys have requested it but I've decided that I won't be doing an English language video. There are several reasons and I'll briefly explain them. So to start with Language was my worst grade, it was a 7 which isn't actually bad but I think other people are better qualified than me to give out tips. Secondly I honestly wasn't good at English language, a lot of my exam were just me improvising and hoping for the best and I basically wrote a load of bullpoo. Thirdly, I didn't do much revision, I did maybe 1 or 2 practice papers in my own time and watched some Mr Bruff videos and the rest of my revision was practice papers in class and I'm sure you guys were planning on doing all of the above anyway. My point is, overall I really hated, was bad at and didn't really try for English language and managed to get a decent grade from what seems like lucky improvisation. don't want to pull together some mediocre tips that probably won't help anyone and maybe even miss-guide people just for the sake of getting the video up to make you guys happy when there's plenty of good quality videos already on KZfaq. For that reason I won't be making an English language video and I hope you guys understand & respect that. Im failing Literature. Throughout the whole of year 10 and year 11 our school focused on english language as if you fail it you have to retake it and also because it is more important in general. Also my school said that language is much harder than literature in which i disagree about as im quite decent at language (i get around a 5 or 6). It was only until 2 months ago we started literature and im finding it extremely difficult. I done the paper 1 and 2 easter mocks and got a grade 2 in both exams. The same goes with my other friend who have got even lower than me. Basically most of my school are failing literature all because we began learning it very late and also because i am struggling to learn every quote from each poem. Many teachers have left the school as they do not like the way the school teaches english. I really want to pass every subject so can someone please give me any tips on how to at least achieve a pass in literature.
