I’m taking my pre-requisites and it’s been a struggle sometimes I just start to breakdown crying but in my heart I know that I should be a nurse and that it’s my calling in life. And I know that the Lord will supply all my needs. Thank you 🙏🏾

I'm 46, just turned 46 in July. I have been in school since 2017. Failing classes left and right due to caring for my mom and son. I start the nursing program in January 2024. I have cried so much but I never lost my faith. We got this.

I don’t even know what to say.... I NEEDED this. The Lord brought me to this video. I’ve been struggling with wondering if I’ll even be able to get in to nursing school this fall. It feels like so much is up in the air and I found myself questioning God. Thank you for sharing your journey. I need to remember to trust in him. Wow....🤍 I was literally in that same place once; faith quivering. Never forget, God places callings on our heart for a reason. It WILL be TOUGH, it WILL be CHALLENGING-- our callings are never easy. Take extra pre reqs if they are offered. I took all my basic pre reqs (all the classes you mentioned) at a community college but it was very hard and had A, B and had to retake some classes bc the C’s weren’t cutting it. They completely denied my application and i was hurtttttt. I went to a different university that was also in my hometown and they offered intro to nursing, communication in nursing, and Pathophysiology all in one semester. I busted my behind OFF and somehow got an A- in all 3 classes. Then when I applied I actually got accepted. Persistence is the most important thing in any difficult major. If anyone could do it everyone would be doing it. Hard work will always pay off!!!

Wowwww 😢 I needed this video. I currently have one semester left of prerequisites and I’m so nervous I have re taken courses to get a higher grade so that I can get accepted. At times I feel defeated but I’m giving it all to God 🙌🏾 Thanks for your testimony it was beautiful 🙏🏾

I am so glad I came across your video! It’s seriously NEVER over until GOD says it’s over. My story was similar to yours as well and it is so nice to hear someone else talk about the struggle of getting into nursing school. College in general is HARD and especially Nursing. I am starting my first day of nursing school in 3 weeks and I am so nervous but As long as I stay prayed up and believe, I have faith I will be ok. Also just remembered (for others who may read the comments) don’t ever listen to “them” when they say don’t take it a 4th or 5th time cause when I sat for my CPC (certified professional coder) exam a lady next to me was sitting for 6th attempt and she passed her exam finally after the 6th attempt. The naysayers and others may think they have your best interest by telling you this information but the Lord has other plans. Don’t let the devil steal your happiness- keep trying! Even if it means taking the damn test 10 times. I also had a friend that went through a bad breakup and it wrecked her mid way through nursing school and got kicked out of the program. She didn’t give up. She kept trying and 16 months later she got into the 5th program she applied to and finished her degree and got employed at the hospital she wanted and has been a stellar employee ever since. Don’t give up on your dreams ❤

It’s so nice of you to have shared your experience🙏🏼 it really gives me hope that some day I’ll get accepted. I’m a mother of 3 in my late 20s. It took years for me to complete the prerequisites for nursing because I had to work and take care of my kids. I got all Bs in my sciences😪 and a 72 on my first attempt on the TEAS👎🏼….. you’ve really motivated me to not give up! I’m in my prereqs and I still have 2 more semesters to complete as I can only take 3 classes each semester since I’m a full time mom & work full time as well. Utilize “rate my professor” to see what the professor is like. Most students will rate their difficulty! I only go with easy classes lol. Straight A’s so far.

Even though this may be an old video, I just watched it and it brought tears to my eyes because I been going through the same struggle I have given up so many times I felt so defeated. I’m not in the RN program at the moment but I am taking LPN and it has been a struggle but watching your video have given me the strength to keep pushing and not give up. Hi I'm from Arkansas and currently taking my prerequisites for nursing. December 12th is my last day of my regular courses, ( I think so, may be a little off on the date) then next year I will be taking the HESI exam. I've been following your channel for some time now and you are such an inspiration. This will be my second time taking the entrance exam. The first time I did not pass. My results were very poor. After just watching this video the second time, it gave me hope and inspiration, and I had to pause to cry out to God for a minute. I was accepted into my dream school but am so nervous about making sure I do well enough to pass the TEAS keep up my gpa to get into the nursing program. i feel like nursing is my calling and it’s been on my heart since i was a junior in high school and i feel so discouraged right now. i finished my first year of pre-reqs and then i got took my pre-admission test for my program and i didn’t do good and i didn’t get in then my dad basically gave up on me because i failed the pre-admission test (pre-NLN) and i didn’t have any other way to stay where i was attending school and i knew for a fact i wanted to that specific school cause it had an amazing nursing program. he said he wasn’t going to pay for me to stay in that same city because i didn’t get into the program on the first try. i ended up getting pregnant and now i’m a single mom of an almost 2 year old and i STILL desire to become a nurse but it feels impossible now and i’m feeling like maybe it’s not meant for me to be one anymore.

BABE! What's for you, will ALWAYS be for you. So far on my nursing journey I have learned that my calling isn't meant to come easy, in fact- it's the exact opposite. You may feel defeated along the way but regardless of how many times it seems like odds are working against you... something keeps speaking to your heart and reminding you that THIS is what you're supposed to be doing. Girl, don’t give up! It has taken me years to get into the nursing program I wanted. I’m from Canada and I feel like the admission process is so much simpler here- we take the pre-reqs(biology,chemistry,English and math) then apply to the program and if your marks are decent enough your accepted! Throughout high school I received C’s and B’s which isn’t good enough to apply for the BSN program.. I was young so I partied alot and didn’t take school serious, I ended up taking a pre nursing program that gave me all the pre-reqs however I failed that program twice!! I was so discouraged and embarrassed I took a few years off from school.. I matured and started a family so when I felt it was time to go back to school I took the pre nursing program again and passed with all A’s( I got 100% on anatomy&physiology and math). Now I’m 29 years old and half way through the BSN nursing program. If you have determination and passion to become a nurse, nothing will stop you.. it may take time but you will succeed! I feel you girl. I’m about to turn 23 and still have to go through prereqs because I didn’t take it seriously the first round. I got a C in A&P 1 and by miracle I got a B in A&P 2 which is even harder than A&P 1. My daughter is 4, and all thorough out me studying I wanted to be a full time student and not take any jobs, but now I know that life isn’t for me. I’m a mom, I’m a wife, AND a student. I’m no super human. Better slow and steady. I know we want to eat up the world, but even if you take it one class at a time, you will be closer to your goal today than you were yesterday! I feel that it is easier for me to take classes now that my child is going to preschool and I’ll have more alone time. Maybe as your little one grows on you’ll feel the same. Your dreams are worth fighting for! Like Nurse Bass said *I’m the CAPTAIN of this fucking Ship!* You got this girl!

i rarely find myself commenting on videos but just had to say that ur video had me smiling all the way through bc a part of me found ur process so beautiful. as someone who is preparing for the program and applying soon, often times watching nursing school videos gives me so much anxiety and make me doubt the process bc how am i gonna survive nursing school if watching other people’s videos makes me forget to breathe but u reassured me into just trusting gods plan and i thank u for that. watching ur earlier videos of how ur in ur third semester makes me feel like it’s doable. so proud of how far u have come and just thank u for giving me hope

Wow I love this, I have been feeling defeated I have a lot of classes to take bc I need to take an additional math class to get to the level needed of the math prerequisite. Need to also take a chem class bc it’s been a while since I was in school 😩😩 but I am taking it one step at a time but I have faith in the lord and I know being a nurse is what God wants for me so prepay for me on this journey. I am crying in my kitchen while I clean up dinner . I have been listening to nursing student videos all day but this one was so honest and true . I am two years into pre reqs and I fell hard in one of my classes . I messed up my pell grant , my scholarship and it just wrecked me that I had to audit this pre cal class . But I believe in all the words your saying and I know I am meant to be here

I really needed to see this I'm sitting here trying to study for the Teas test and I feel so defeated I feel so lost . I keep second guessing myself like is this what you really want to do even though I know this is what I want. I take my test in June and I'm so nerves. I feel like I really don't know how to study. Please say a prayer for me that I will be able to retain the knowledge and be more confident in myself to pass this exam. I'm 44 yrs old about to retire from the Army but I know this is what I really want to do next in my life. Thanks in advance.

Girl yessss!! What a testimony! I’m in my prerequisites right now. I have the SRNA test this month and need to schedule my pre-admission test to get accepted into the ADN program at my school. I’ve been studying my butt off!! I feel so overwhelmed, but I trust God's plan and pray he leads me down the path to success.

Thank you for your videos! I just need one more pre-requisite before I can apply to nursing school. I'm in a similar situation where I might need to retake one of my sciences to be more competitive. Covid is not helping my situation and I'll probably end up taking Physio next semester and not this semester because I need an on campus lab. Thank you for your energy and enthusiasm. I'll remember your positivity and I will keep going.

Thank you The Nursing Diary for sharing your story. It was absolutely inspiring and motivating especially for me. The teas test is my biggest fear that I've been scared to face. I heard about the exam and how it can be challenging. Watching your video and listen to your story definitely makes me have a little more faith and encouragement to just overcome my fear and take the test. Congrats to you, due all the trial and tribulation you did it!

This hit home. Graduated with Health Science Bachelor applied to my schools nursing program got denied two both programs due to pre-req grade being to low and my gpa had dropped. It’s been about 4 years and I’ve tried several nursing schools and have gotten denied several times. Tried the TEAS and did not do good and I basically felt stuck after this year TEAS exam. Don’t want to give up on my passion but it seems impossible to redo things for fear of not doing good on exams

Hey, im new to your channel & this video brought me to tears. I been a CNA for going on 4 years, I want to get my LPN and then get my RN. That entire test gets me everytime & I was in tears a few weeks ago because I took it and failed and I never went back. Your video is pushing me to set up a test date and go back.

Girl this is kinda how I’m feeling rn. This last semester was my first time working full time and going to school full time and it was a lot. I almost messed up on one of my pre reqs. On our very last assignment we needed to submit a book review and I asked her for a one day extension and she allowed but I had complications with emailing it to her and I didn’t expect her to grade it but she told me “ somehow it was received and graded” I was extremely shocked. I have a 3.4 gpa but I still have a few more classes this summer to take and one in the fall but I’m taking the HESI July 11th and I’m feeling anxious. I’m taking those little practice test and I’m not doing to good but I still have some time to study which is good, I’m just nervous. But congratulations girl and that is one heck of a testimony 💕 it’s always on Gods timing you are 100 percent correct and if it’s in his plan it will indeed happen

Girl your testimony has me in literal tears! Shout out to your coworker for praying and telling you to still go for it! That was nobody but GOD! Your story is so inspiring for me as I’m somewhat in the same situation trying to apply to nursing school and having to retake prerequisites but your story has given me so much hope. God bless!!!!!!
